Quinceañera exhibit opening reception

The History Museum of Hood River County is thrilled to present our newest exhibition, La Quinceañera: Una Tradición Bonita, opening with a reception on May 9 from 2:00 to 4:00pm. The exhibit explores the vibrant coming-of-age tradition through the personal stories and artifacts of past quinceañeras in the Columbia River Gorge.
Attendees will have the first opportunity to view the collection, which features symbolic items and traditional dresses ranging from the styles of the 1990s to the styles of today. The reception is free and open to all, and refreshments will be provided. Following the reception, the exhibit will remain on display until September 25, 2026.

The History Museum is a vibrant center for engaging all people in a better understanding of the community’s heritage that preserves the past, relates it to the present and shapes our future. The History Museum of Hood River County is open Monday-Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm. Admission is $8, $6 for honored guests 65+ and veterans, free for members, children 10 and under and currently serving military personnel and families. The Museum is located at 300 E.
