Bridge of the Gods Centennial Celebration!

One week until the Bridge of the Gods Centennial Celebration! Come join us down at the Cascade Locks Marine Park for a day of fun!

Saturday September 19th – 12-8pm (but come early for some free The Sternwheeler rides and a look at the vintage car show!)

PLEASE NOTE: @Fish Food Bank will be at the festival entry accepting donations! Please bring non-expired shelf stable foods to donate to our neighbors!

Schedule of events:

– 10am – 2pm: Free rides on the Sternwheeler boat for all attendees. Don’t miss this opportunity to get a great view of the Bridge of the Gods.

– 10am – 5pm: Vintage Car Display by the Mid Columbia Car Club.

– 1:30-2:30/ 4:30-6:30: 2 opportunities to meet artist Paul Lanquist and get your poster signed!

– 3-4: Live music from Julie and the Astronauts.

– 4:30 – 5: Presentation at the Stage: Riveting History: 100 Years of the Bridge of the Gods
– Join Cascade Locks Historical Museum Executive Director Janice Crane for an overview of the history of the Bridge of the Gods, the making of the exhibit “Riveting History: 100 Years of the Bridge of the Gods,” and follow-up answers to some of the history mysteries identified last December. Bridge engineer David McCurry will discuss the historic preservation work completed on the bridge so far, discoveries made in the studies, and what it will take to make it last for 100 more years.

– 5 – 6: Raffle at the stage. A benefit for the Cascade Locks Historical Museum! Get your tickets at their booth! $2/each ticket!

– 7-8: Live music from J. Schlick and the New Brohemians.

– 8: Fireworks Show from Thunder Island!
