SUMMARY:The Muddy Souls / Skillethead
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, February 6th\, 2026 \n$15 Advance // $15 Day Of Show\n6pm Doors / 7pm Show\nAll Ages \nTHE. MUDDY SOULS\nBorn in the belly of Eugene\, Oregon\, The Muddy Souls are a progressive bluegrass band emerging from the Pacific Northwest. Formed in 2018\, the band has produced four original albums and played over 300 shows across the US\, Canada Europe\, and beyond. Through intricately woven arrangements\, meaningful lyrics\, vocal harmonies\, and improvisational jams\, this band is sure to get you grooving on the dance floor. The Muddy Souls will take you on a musical journey\, opening hearts and nourishing souls. \nSKILLETHEAD\nORIGINAL\, TRADITIONAL\, MODERN\nSetting roots in the high and dry Central Oregon desert\, Skillethead calls forth the best of bluegrass old and new. They ground themselves firmly in the bluegrass traditions of driving fiddle tunes\, layered harmonies\, and single mics\, all the while weaving in inspiration and originality gleaned from genres far and wide. You can expect to hear a Stanley Brothers number right alongside a stirring original or a rollicking rock cover done in Skillethead’s own unique fashion. The spectrum reaches far and wide\, the bluegrass universe is expanding\, and Skillethead is on that ride! \nThe brain child of late night jams and carrot picking daydreams\, Skillethead was christened in the spring of 2019 by friends and longtime musical revelers Joe Schulte\, Benji Nagel\, and Garrett Miller. “I do believe we should start a band” someone said\, and thus it was so. With the additions of bass/vocal powerhouse Aaron Moore and fiddle maestro Casey Willis\, Skillethead is now a bona fide tour-de-force bluegrass machine. \nSkillethead is…\nBenji Nagel – Dobro\, Guitar\, Vocals\nJoe Schulte – Mandolin\, Guitar\, Vocals\nAaron Moore – Bass\, Vocals\nGarrett Miller – Banjo\, Guitar\, Vocals\nCasey Willis – Fiddle\, Mandolin

SUMMARY:David Ramirez / Sharon Silva
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, February 5th\, 2026 \n$19 Advance // $23 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nDAVID RAMIREZDavid Ramirez took a little time to get back to himself\, and now he’s dead set on making music for himself—for the sake of the music\, and nothing else. “I love all the records I’ve made in the past\,” says Ramirez. “But in making them\, there was always the thought in the back of my mind of where and what it could get me. I made both creative and business decisions with a goal in mind; a goal that often never came. This time it was all about just the joy of making it\, about having fun with it.” \nThe Austin\, TX-based singer-songwriter—whose career has seen six full-length studio albums\, three EPs\, countless collaborations\, and an illustrious supergroup project in Glorietta—spent a season of rest away from his focus on writing songs. In the wake of the end of a long relationship\, he wanted to prioritize processing his grief as a human\, not as an artist bleeding onto the page. \n“The last thing I wanted was to write a heartbreak record. So I stopped writing altogether\, and I just waited until I saw my heart start coming back to life. I wanted the next thing to be hopeful and sweet and beautiful—a testament to music and my love for it.” \nRamirez’s new record\, All the Not So Gentle Reminders\, is exactly what he was waiting for. The 12-song album is an expansive succession of dreamlike songs that in deed tell his stories—but more than anything\, lean into the possibilities of the trip that music can take us on.“I’ve been a songwriter for a long time. I love words and stories. But this was about music. I wanted the long musical intros and outros [as heard on “Dirty Martini\,” “Twin Sized Beds\,” “A Bigger World\,” and “Dreams Come True”] to contribute to the stories and be a part of them.” \nThe lead track\, “Maybe It Was All a Dream\,” sets this theme of the ethereal and dreamy from the outset. It’s a three-and-a-half-minute musical tour de force—at first\, a simple synth line over a subdued drum machine\, that eventually morphs into a grandiose rollick of organ\, drum rolls\, and electric guitars. All the while\, staticky\, broken voices repeat the almost-haunting coda that gives the record its name. In the end\, this “dream” is interrupted and punctuated by a recording of Ramirez’s own mother saying\, “David…David… it’s time to get up.” \nIn “Deja Voodoo\,” Ramirez questions his own memory\, wondering if he remembers his life as it really was\, or if even the past itself is a dream colored by time and distance. He sings\, “Maybe it was in another life. Maybe it was just a dream. Was it a memory passed down from another? A cosmic sunflare? Or just deja vu?” It’s easy to wonder whether the not-so-gentle reminders are themselves facts\, or just figments of our imagination—something to be trusted or something to move on from and reclaim our lives. \nThe songs for the album were written during a writing getaway David went on for two weeks\, where he holed up at Standard Deluxe—a music venue and art space in the tiny 100-person town of Waverly\, Alabama. His goal was to get out of the noise of Austin fora while\, to be alone\, to get back to writing with the “uninterrupted silence [he had] been missing.” \nAll the Not So Gentle Reminders was recorded at Spectra Studios in Cedar Park\, TX just outside of Austin\, engineered by Charlie Kramsky at the helm. He tapped local staples as the house musicians for the sessions\, including Barbara Frigiere\, Jeff Olson\, James Westley Essary\, and Christopher Boosahda (who also helped to produce the album alongside Ramirez). And in the spirit of the exuberance and joy of the recording\, he also called upon a handful of friends to contribute and sing background vocals throughout the album. \n“It made sense to bring in this group as we were so tight musically and relationally from touring together the last few years. Like all my albums before this I never want to repeat what I’ve previously made. This was no exception. I brought in Boosahda to co-produce because I had never tried my hand at the captain’s wheel\, and I wanted someone experienced and with a different musical background than me to bring some extra shine.” \nThroughout the album\, David tackles memory and dreams\, fleeting romance\, the possibility of something better ahead\, and his own deep appreciation for music and his place in making it. The fact that he considered giving it up altogether—a decision he thankfully didn’t follow through with—All the Not So Gentle Reminders only serves to be that much more impactful as a testament to music and its power. \nMost pointedly in “Music Man\,” he recalls his own turning point as a boy\, listening on a Walkman his father gave him… a fateful turn that led him to where he is today. “So take a look at me now. I’m quite the music man. Take a look at the crowd. We’re all here for the music\, man. It’s the music\, man.” On what is his most ambitious\, lush\, and exuberant record to date\, David is leaning in full-hearted to who he knows he is at his core—and not letting anything else stand in his way. \n“I will always be me. I’ve seen enough of the business to know that chasing its praises will only land me in a world of disappointment and self-doubt. I’m wholly back in my chi and\, fingers crossed\, have the strength to stay.” \nSHARON SILVASharon Silva is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter known for her emotionally resonant lyrics and powerful\, expressive voice. As a founding member of the indie-folk band The Wild Reeds\, Silva helped shape their signature harmony-driven sound before stepping into her solo career. Her music blends indie rock\, folk\, and Americana\, often exploring themes of grief\, personal growth\, and the complexity of relationships. She has shared the stage with The Lone Bellow\, Dylan LeBlanc and Damien Jurado\, and has released a series of lyrically rich\, anthemic singles—such as “People to Please\,” “Monogamy\,” and “Hold It Down”—that showcase her ability to balance sensitivity with strength. \nHer debut album\, “Underachiever” is out October 24th and includes contributions from Christian Lee Hutson\, Al Menne (Great Grandpa)\, and Harrison Whitford (Phoebe Bridgers).

No matter who might be on the stage\, you are guaranteed to groove. \nCHICKEN $#!T GAMBLERS\nMysterious and uncool\, the Chicken $#!t Gamblers\nreject conformity and curb appeal in favor of ludicrousness and frivolity. No genre is safe from their reign of audacity. Biologically grown\, woodshed cultivated\, scientifically inspired\, emotionally attached\, filthy and kind bluegrass inspired stuffing for your soundholes. \nBAND OF COMERADOS\nRyan McMahon – Mandolin\, Vocals\nDevon James – Guitar\, Vocals\nKyle Donaldson – Guitar\, Vocals\nJeffrey Leppert – Upright Bass \nJam/Grass/Folk from Portland\, OR \n“It’s rare to find an album these days that fits every occasion\, but Grass Half Full is exactly that. Equal parts intimate and expansive\, Band of Comerados delivers a timeless work that expertly rides the line between\nwistful nostalgia for what was and unflinching optimism for what is. \nSeamlessly transitioning between songwriting styles throughout the hour long offering\, Grass Half Full is the band’s most true album to date. Faithful fans will be rewarded with a collection of songs that capture BoC’s live energy\, and new devotees will be captured by their charm and surprised at the places this band takes them.” – Chris Couch \nSince 2015 and extending far into the future\, Band of Comerados plays music that makes you feel good. Call it bluegrass\, jamgrass\, folk\, or indie\, what sets the band apart is their intricate instrumentation\, dual vocal parts\, intense improvisational jams\, and the fact that these guys have so much damn fun when they’re playing live music! \nIn between traveling up and down the west coast in 2022\, BoC managed record two albums. Grass Half Full is the newest full length album\, containing 11 songs. These road tested tunes were captured perfectly at Jackpot! Studio in SE Portland. The album was released in June 2023. With Friends Like These included a bevy of Portland’s finest musicians helping create ambitious\, full-band EP that was released on Halloween 2022\, and follows previous releases Kindsight (2020)\, Trial & Error (2019)\, and Tomorrow is Today (2017). \nFrom their inception around campfire jams\, Band of Comerados has come a long way. Earning their stripes at dive bars\, breweries\, block parties\, and house concerts in their hometown of Portland\, Oregon\, the band began to get a foothold in some of the city’s finest venues\, like Laurelthirst\, White Eagle\, Goodfoot\, Aladdin Theatre\, Wonder Ballroom\, Mississippi Studios\, The Get Down and more. Expanding their fanbase\, they traveled up and down the west coast from Southern California to Northern Washington\, and east through Idaho\, Utah\, and Arizona. DESCRIPTION:TICKETS RELEASE FRIDAY OCTOBER 3rd at 10am PST \nSaturday\, January 24th\, 2026 \n$25 Advance // $30 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nRATTLESNAKE MILKFrom the southern plains of Texas\, Rattlesnake Milk summons the sound of the prairie\, mimicking the howl of coyotes and the pulsing rhythm of a lonesome junk train. \nWhile farming cotton for a family friend\, Lou Lewis found inspiration to record an eight-song demo listening to the classics played on KDAV 1590AM in the empty flatlands of his hometown. Those demos paid homage to Lou’s favorite Dust Bowl migrant songs and haunted melodic gems from the 50s and 60s. \nNow\, with the help of Corey Alvarez\, and Andrew Chavez\, Rattlesnake Milk captures the ephemeral soundscape of the Texas panhandle in the studio and on the stage. \nSENTIMENTAL FAMILY BANDSentimental Family Band is an award-winning country music group based in Austin\, Texas. Known for their meticulous attention to the classic mid-century country sound\, the band’s debut album\, Sweethearts Only\, has been hailed as a modern torchbearer for American roots music.

SUMMARY:Ryley Walker / Les Ailes
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS RELEASE FRIDAY\, NOVEMBER 21 at 10am PST! \nFriday\, January 23rd\, 2026 \n$15 Advance // $20 Day Of Show\n6pm Doors / 7pm Show\nAll Ages \nRYLEY WALKER \nRyley Walker currently resides in New York City. But his latest LP is a Chicago record in spirit. The masterful Course In Fable\, the songwriter’s fifth solo effort\, draws from the deep well of that city’s fertile 1990s scene\, when bands like Tortoise\, The Sea and Cake and Gastr del Sol were reshaping the underground\, mixing and matching indie rock\, jazz\, prog and beyond. \nWalker spent his formative years in Chicago\, absorbing those heady sounds and finding ways to make them his own. Even though he emerged at first in folk- rock troubadour mode\, it makes sense that he’s arrived at this point; each LP has grown more intricate and assured\, his influences distilling into something original and unusual. To put it simply: Course In Fable is Walker’s best record yet\, full of active imagination and endless possibilities. \nLast October\, Ryley went straight to one of the primary architects of the Chicago sound to make the LP. John McEntire\, Course In Fable’s producer/engineer/ mixer\, can rightly be called a legend for his work with Tortoise\, Stereolab\, The Red Krayola\, Jim O’Rourke and countless others over a prolific career that now spans more than three decades. Seeing his name in an album’s liners is pretty much a trademark of quality. \nAnother Windy City exile\, McEntire is based on the west coast these days\, working out of the Portland\, OR studio he’s dubbed Soma West. On the seven songs here\, he delivers the signature shimmering and pristine sonics he’s become known for over the years. But McEntire was also intimately involved with Course In Fable’s overall creative process. “I told him to take the mixes and have at it\,” Walker says. \nThe result is a rich\, immersive affair — a headphones record if ever there was one. Course In Fable’s songs are twisty\, labyrinthine things\, stuffed full of ideas (Walker half-jokingly calls it his “prog record”). But no matter how complex it gets\, the album is never overwhelmingly busy. Wiry guitars melt into gorgeous string sections (arranged by Douglas Jenkins of the Portland Cello Project). Tricky time signatures abound but feel as natural as can be. Melodies open drift in unexpected directions but remain downright hummable. Like Walker’s beloved Genesis\, the pop element is never too far from the surface even when shit gets weird. (And speaking of weird\, Ryley says that in addition to Genesis\, much of the album’s inspiration comes from “Australian extreme scooter riders on YouTube and balding gear heads on Craigslist.” Go figure.) \nTo help put together these various puzzle pieces\, Ryley assembled a band made up of several longtime collaborators. Bill MacKay (another Chicago mainstay) and Walker have made two excellent instrumental duo records of interlocking guitars and warm give-and-take — a rapport very much in evidence throughout Course In Fable. The freakishly talented drummer Ryan Jewell has performed with Walker for years now in a variety of settings\, from straight forward song-centric sets to blown-out improv extravaganzas. Bassist Andrew Scott Young (Tiger Hatchery\, Health&Beauty) has logged many miles on tour with Walker; he and Jewell are frequently astonishing\, a buoyant-but-always-locked-in rhythm section\, able to navigate sometimes dizzying turnarounds with apparent ease. Listening to the interplay between Walker and these musicians and you might be fooled into thinking they’d spent a year road- testing Course In Fable’s songs. But it all came together relatively fast\, thanks to demos\, rehearsals and the kind of musical empathy that comes from years of playing together. \nBeneath the wondrous interplay\, you’ll find some of Walker’s most personal – if still typically cryptic — lyrics\, hinting at some of the trials the songwriter has been dealing with in recent years. Balanced with necessary doses of dark humor and oddball poetry\, Course In Fable feels most of all like a life-affirming record\, fresh air in the lungs\, sun on your skin. “Fuck me\, I’m alive\,” Ryley sings at one point\, a moment of both disbelief and pure joy. \nWalker has released his albums on a who’s-who of independent labels over the past decade — Tompkins Square\, Dead Oceans\, Thrill Jockey and Drag City among them. This time around\, he’s doing it DIY-style\, putting Course In Fable out on his own Husky Pants imprint. You’re in good hands. This is an album that sounds great (mastered by Greg Calbi)\, looks great (artwork by Jenny Nelson and design by Michael Vallera). It probably even smells great. Whether you’ve been onboard since the beginning or are new to the Ryley Walker universe\, you’re in for a treat. \nLES AILES\nLes Ailes is the indie music project of PNW-based singer/songwriter Rylie DeGarmo\, synthesizing her early jazz melodic influences with a folk honesty derived from formative years spent writing songs in the american South. After a musical upbringing in Seattle\, DeGarmo spent much of her twenties sojourning across the southern united states developing her own writing style characterized by textural rhythm guitar in unique tunings and a clear\, distinctive voice that pulls at the heart strings\, waxing nostalgic. Her 2021 debut\, “Tennessee” was recorded to tape in Nashville\, TN\, by Mike McCarthy (Spoon\, Carson McHone). They teamed up again for her second analog record\, “Lou Heron\,” released this summer everywhere but Spotify. \n“A PNW must listen”\n– Matt Vaughan\, Easy Street Records

SUMMARY:Cousin Curtiss / Taylor Kingman
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, January 16th\, 2026 \n$15 Advance // $20 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nCOUSIN CURTISSCousin Curtiss is a powerhouse duo delivering a high-voltage blend of roots rock\, blues\, and Americana that hits like Mumford & Sons meets AC/DC. Together\, Cousin Curtiss\, wielding rapid-fire acoustic guitar\, incendiary harmonica\, and a cannon of a kick drum\, and guitarist Harrison B\, whose tone channels David Gilmour’s atmosphere and Gary Clark Jr.’s grit\, create a two-man wall of sound. Raw\, soulful\, and relentlessly energetic. “Blues at bluegrass speeds\,” “rock Americana with a soulful drip”—whatever you call it\, Cousin Curtiss and Harrison B don’t just play music; they ignite it and bring it to life. \nTAYLOR KINGMANBetween his work fronting TK & The Holy Know-Nothings and his 2017 solo debut Wannabe\, Kingman is no stranger to the darkness. But here he transcends the desolate rock bottom\, as Hollow Sound whispers\, then howls us into that place beyond brokenness where breathing begins again. To listen deeply to these songs is to lay down naked on the wet\, unforgiving earth\, pushing the ground through your fingers; it is to be soothed by the wholeness of who we are\, filth and all. Kingman pulls no punches with his writing\, and requires us to listen with the same honesty.

SUMMARY:Erik Koskinen / Forrest VanTuyl live music
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, January 9th\, 2026 \n$15 Advance // $15 Day Of Show\n6pm Doors / 7pm Show\nAll Ages \nERIK KOSKINEN\nHe’s a lights-out guitar (player) and his band is as good as any band in the country. But he’s also a top-shelf writer\, with a blade-sharp wit and love songs so real and tender they seem to transcend the form. I know of few writers whose relationship to their own landscape\, in this case the rural north\, is so elemental\, and so integral. His songs feel like weather. \nPeople know him in Minnesota\, where most bar bands seem to cover at least one of his songs\, but otherwise he’s still one of the best kept secrets in the country. He sings about an America that doesn’t get much play anymore\, the one where the people at the bottom can’t quite get ahead\, and where working people aren’t cartoon props in a culture war\, but shrewd human beings living hard lives\, and hard loves. His songs have the diamond-hard clarity and simplicity of Tom Petty\, and like Petty\, Koskinen can sing a literal statement without metaphor or ornament\, and make it move like poetry. The spiritual hunger in rock ‘n’ roll that came from blues and gospel is still a hunger in these songs\, and if you listen hard\, you can hear that lean coyote voice – wary\, feral\, full of fierce delight – lighting up the wee hours from somewhere out on the prairie.\n-Jeffrey Foucault \nFORREST VANTUYL\nForrest VanTuyl is a songwriter\, touring musician\, and working cowboy from rural Washington State. His unique approach to songwriting is one equally indebted to the transcendental spareness of Emmylou Harris’ Wrecking Ball as to his own experiences working with cattle and horses in the prairie and canyon country of Oregon and Washington. VanTuyl has worked as a backing musician and collaborator with critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter Margo Cilker\, become a regular fixture at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko\, Nevada\, shared stages with Sera Cahoone\, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot\, and Corb Lund\, and been featured by The New York Times\, National Geographic\, NPR\, and KEXP. VanTuyl’s newest album Old Trails\, released in September 2025 on Fossil Records\, is peopled with characters just as concerned with the minutiae of feed trucks and fenceposts as with the enormity of their loves and longings. By overstuffing his songs with closely observed details of a modern-day cowboy’s work and life\, VanTuyl is consistently able to find the beating heart at the center of his deromanticized American West.

SUMMARY:Pizza and Movies
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, December 19th\, 2025 \nFirst movie will start at 7pm (Paved)Second Movie will start at 8pm (After the Snowfall)Pizza all-night (or until it’s gone!) \nA night of snow sport films on the big screen\, homemade pizza and traditional Caesar salad from Post Office Coffee and TLH Chef\, Jess Kunze. (regular menu not available). \nPavedPart history lesson\, part hangout\, part backcountry odyssey\, Paved – a Burton and Red Bull Media House co-production – celebrates the passion and soul of snowboarding in raw\, wry and light-hearted style. \nAfter the SnowfallOpening on a quiet\, storm-buried morning\, After The Snowfall is a high-octane and heartfelt journey through the culture and chaos of modern skiing. Filmed in stunning locations from the Lyngen Alps of Norway to the heli-accessed steeps of British Columbia\, the film showcases an elite crew of skiers\, including Michelle Parker\, Nikolai Schirmer\, Nico Porteous\, Caite Zeliff\, and more\, pushing boundaries with jaw-dropping style and skill. \nBut this is not just a story about pros. It is about the everyday ski bum\, the weekend warrior\, and the mountain town lifer whose passion burns just as bright. Interwoven throughout the action are honest and irreverent reflections from both athletes and everyday skiers on what skiing means to them; why they risk injury\, chase fleeting storms\, and build their lives around snow. The film explores both the literal mountains they climb and the internal terrain they navigate: personal growth\, camaraderie\, obsession\, and joy. \nWith Matchstick Productions’ signature blend of cinematic artistry and raw stoke\, After The Snowfall is a reminder that skiing is more than a sport\, it is a way of life. Presented by Toyota and supported by The North Face\, Ikon Pass\, and Stanley\, this film is a tribute to the people\, places\, and powder turns that make it all worth it.

SUMMARY:Songs of Power & Protest
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, December 6th\, 2025 \n$15 Advance // $15 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nSONGS OF POWER & PROTEST \nTwelve songwriters will come together at Trout Lake Hall on 12/6 for a night of songs meant to inspire\, unite and rally. Artists will share original protest songs they have written for the occasion and perform a cover of their favorite protest song. This will be the second in this series of Songs of Power and Protest shows created and hosted by Portland musician\, Rose Gerber. A variety of genres are represented in the lineup from Folk to Bluegrass\, Country to Pop and include: Matt Mitchell\, Jim Brunberg\, Crystal Lariza\, Erin Adkission\, Zach Markezich\, William Surly\, Kyle Patrick Kregan\, Jordan Krinsky\, Shiloh Mae\, Tim Karplus\, Katie Waterland and Rose Gerber. Be the first to hear songs that could become the soundtrack for the next generation of change makers and activists. \nMatt Mitchell Music Company is an original Americana project hailing from the Pacific Northwest. Centered around the old-soul\, observational storytelling of Mitchell\, who lives full time out of an imported Japanese bus\, MMMC brings Mitchell’s tunes to life in solo\, acoustic duo/trio and full on\, electrified band configurations. Mitchell’s songs are equal parts clever\, quick-witted and heartbreakingly confessional\, (oftentimes all at once) translating well both in attentive listening rooms and rowdy rock halls. If ‘The Band’ took a road trip to Laurel Canyon and pulled their tour bus over to pick up John Prine hitching his way down the pacific coastline\, their rolling jam sessions might sound a little like Matt Mitchell Music Co. \nJim Brunberg is an artist\, a father\, an activist\, a small business owner and a continual agent of change. He is the co-founder of five music venues\, including the nationally renowned Mississippi Studios and Revolution Hall. He’s half of Wonderly\, the duo behind the themes for The New York Times’ The Daily and Cheryl Strayed’s Dear Sugar. He’s the dad behind the award-winning Roam Schooled podcast. \nBrunberg has released solo albums\, scored films\, and toured the world with his longtime band Box Set. Jim’s latest chapter\, as a fierce advocate for live music\, finds him serving as Vice President of the board of the National Independent Venue Association\, NIVA\, and frequently criss-crossing the country to fight for legislation and arts funding. \nCrystal Lariza\, is a singer-songwriter and guitarist\, native to Portland\, OR. Performing since her teens\, she made her way through folk rock bands\, soul bands and now is immersed in the world of acoustic music. She has opened for bands like Robert Plant\, Old Crow Medicine Show and The Travelin’ McCourys. She was nominated for Vocalist of the Year at the IBMA’s 2022\, has written songs for TV and commercials and continues to tour and teach with her band\, Never Come Down. \nErin Adkission Raised in the outskirts of Oregon City\, Erin Adkisson began singing in church choir and howling with wolves at night. A songwriter\, and vocalist in several Portland bands\, including The Druthers since 2008. Wielding a pure emotional wand\, Erin is a mainstay harmony artist in the music scene. Her new single\, Crawdaddies was released September ‘25. \nShiloh Mae is a Portland singer-songwriter with a penchant for melancholy but a bent toward hope. Fans of Lizzy McAlpine\, Maggie Rogers\, and Kacey Musgraves will love her lyric-centric\, melody forward storytelling\, with vocals many have likened to the Cranberries. She cites influences from 70’s folk classics\, to 90s soft rock\, to the indie folk of today. Shiloh also plays in folk duo Bird and Willow with her brother Jared Kauk. \nRose Gerber based in Portland\, OR\, Rose Gerber is an American roots explorer\, incorporating country\, folk\, rock\, alt-rock\, and alt-country into a seamless signature aesthetic\, where cowboy boots meets Doc Martins. Her catalog includes an LP\, several EPs and a bounty of singles. She has shared the stage with touring acts like Big Richard\, Never Come Down\, Margo Cilker\, and performed at iconic NW festivals such as Pickathon\, Treefort Music Festival\, and Jackalope Jamboree. \nMegan Diana is pioneering a new genre: DREAM – COUNTRY – DISCO. Take your favorite vintage keyboard — hello Wurlitzer 200A —- put it through an echo/delay pedal\, add lush layers of French horn & vocals\, anchor it all with throwback drum grooves & top it off with glittery pedal steel. After the release of her debut album Women in My Head\, Megan has been hard at work touring the world & sharing her second album Cabin Fever. Follow along @hellomegandiana and listen to Cabin Fever wherever you get your music. \nWilliam Surly is a singer/songwriter who saddles his horse (metaphorically speaking) in Portland\, Oregon. Within his music he mixes classic country with outlaw\, honky tonk\, a dash of folk\, some rock\, and soul. \nInspired by story tellers of the Outlaw and Folk movements of the 60’s and 70’s and rejuvenated by the modern sounds of Sturgil Simpson\, Margo Price\, Mike and The Moonpies\, Nikki Lane and more. Surly pays homage to the ones who came before him\, singing songs for those best suited for a long running bar tab. \nBest known for his role in the Lonesome Billies\, who have shared the stage with nationally touring acts such as Pokey Lafarge\,Hooray For The Riff Raff\, Blitzen Trapper and Nikki Lane\, William Surly has been in the Portland music scene for many years. His newest endeavor\, “William Surly & The Barroom Gospel Band” is a mighty fine mix of talented musicians that is working on their next album release. \nKyle Patrick Cregan is a singer-songwriter and audio engineer living in Portland\, Oregon. A dizzy dreamer attempting to navigate and make sense of this funny little breath of life in a rock & roll band called Wild Flowers. \nZach Markezich is based in Portland\, OR and performs solo and with his rock band smilepile. His music has been described as heartfelt\, universal songwriting atop a matching musical journey through a cauldron of genres. His latest single Bad Connection can be found streaming everywhere. \nKatie Waterland is a vocalist\, songwriter\,and sound engineer in Portland\, OR. She sings lead vocals in the band\, The Earl Gracious Band\, and lends backup vocals for various artists around Portland. \nKaryn Ann with a voice that’s equal parts church bell and bourbon barrel and a gut-punching grit reminiscent of Bonnie Raitt or Grace Potter\, Portland-based singer-songwriter Karyn Ann has been charming audiences for over a decade with her brand of Soulful Americana. She’s shared stages with artists like Chris Issak\, Oliver Wood (of The Wood Brothers) and Seth Walker\, and her songwriting has been nationally recognized at festivals like the Great River Folk Fest (WI)\, Rocky Mountain Folks Festival (CO) and Tuscon Folk Festival (AZ).

SUMMARY:Songwriters Round the Mountain featuring Laura Gibson
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, December 5th\, 2025 \n$17 Advance // $20 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nSONGWRITERS ROUND THE MOUNTAIN is a listening room series highlighting song craft by featuring some of the best regional and national songwriters working today. These evenings consist of a headlining songwriter with an opening songwriter round for support. \nFEATURING LAURA GIBSONLaura Gibson is a writer\, singer\, and multi-instrumentalist born and raised in the small Oregon logging town of Coquille. With a love of traditional folk music and a bent toward experimentation\, she has performed on four continents and had the distinct honor of playing the very first (and 200th) NPR Tiny Desk Concert. \nHer most recent album Goners (Barsuk/City Slang) was praised by NPR as “a gripping collection of songs about accountability and grief.” The Fader called it\, “so incessantly beautiful that one cannot help but want to gently crack it open to get to its beating core.” The New York Times described her themes as “longing and instinct\, and whether they can ever converge.” She’s an enthusiastic collaborator\, writing music for theater and film and lending her voice to many beloved bands. Her essays have appeared in Talkhouse\, the Los Angeles Review and Oregon Humanities Magazine\, and she was a 2020 recipient of the McElheny Award from MIT for her work on the Timber Wars podcast. She is currently working on both a book and a new album. \nOPENING ROUND FROM: \nKELE GOODWINKele Goodwin has spent his life in three places: in Juneau\, Alaska; on the Navajo Nation; and in the misty Pacific Northwest. He makes music that sings from bone marrow\, from a life and landscape alternately charted and lost\, crushed and rebuilt. It is music made familiar by the experience of pain and its lessons. It is music to live by. \nGoodwin’s debut album Hymns was produced by Sean Ogilvie of Musé Méchanique and features guest performances from Laura Gibson\, Alela Diane\, Ogilvie himself\, Douglas Jenkins of The Portland Cello Project\, and many others. His lyrics are both observation and prayer\, delicate lines built on an architecture of gratitude and disbelief of the world around him. \nISABEAU WAIA’U WALKERBright gloom\, a single duality of the many that define Isabeau Waia’u Walker. Songs that are soothing and soft while powerful\, accessible while complex\, sweet but aching. The tension of the contradiction that she holds nest in her core and reverberates through the layers of her product: storytelling\, collaboration\, presentation\, music. Culture\, race\, and language surface in her work; half a life in her native Hawaii\, the second in Oregon. For over a decade of being a high school teacher\, she made music\, slowly amassing an impressive YouTube subscribership. She orchestrated an early retirement from education to redirect attention to music\, allowing her to tour as a member of Y La Bamba and to record her EP\, Better Metric. “Woman\,” a track off the EP\, making OPB music’s Oregon’s top songs of 2020. She independently released her full length album\, Body\, in 2022. Soon after\, she built out her band and headed back to The Center for Sound\, Light and Color to record HEAVYWEIGHT\, the most recent body of songs based in heartache and resilience. \nBEN JOHNSONBen Johnson tours the rural northwest blending folk\, jazz\, and country western into a unique solo sound. His stories range from complex tales of city life to abstract ballads of rural hardship and triumph.

SUMMARY:BARN BURNER: 3rd Annual Bakersfield Bash with Countryside
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, November 29th\, 2025 \n$17 Advance // $23 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nBARN BURNER shows are all about the dancing! No matter who might be on the stage\, you are guaranteed to groove. \nOn November 29th\, The Countryside Ride Band will be bringing their 3rd Annual Bakersfield Bash to theTrout Lake Hall celebrating their most influential country music subgenre: The Bakersfield Sound. Being West Coast country artists\, Countryside Ride has been profoundly influenced by the Bakersfield Sound\, the artists who created it\, and are thrilled to be dedicating a night to performing the music of Buck Owens\, Merle Haggard\, Wynn Stewart\, Red Simpson\, Tommy Collins\, Dwight Yoakum\, and many more of the purveyors of The Bakersfield Sound. Mark your calendars and don’t forget to bring your dancing boots! \n“Let me tell you about The Bakersfield Sound. It was the wild untamed side of country music that came out of California’s Central Valley in the 50s and 60s. This wasn’t your polished Nashville-style country\, no Sir\, this was rougher\, rawer\, and a whole lot louder: just like the folks who made it. Buck Owens and Merle Haggard were the kings of this scene\, but they weren’t alone. Wynn Stewart brought some west coast swagger\, with his smooth vocals and sharp guitar work\, while Tommy Collins laid the groundwork that mixed humor and heartache in a way that was pure country. Bonnie Owens\, not just Merle’s wife but a powerhouse vocalist\, added warmth and depth\, while Red Simpson kept the highways humming with his truck driving anthems. The Bakersfield Sound was born in the honky tonks and roadhouses of Bakersfield\, where the beer flowed and the dance floors stayed packed. These folks cranked up the twang on their Telecasters\, slapped on a honky tonk beat\, and sang about real life struggles: hard work\, hard luck\, and heartbreak that could only be drowned out with a stiff drink. They took the clean polished sound of Nashville and gave it a shot of adrenaline: creating music that was tough as nails and real as dirt. So\, when you hear those driving rhythms\, sharp guitar riffs\, and honest to God lyrics\, you’re hearing The Bakersfield Sound: a raw\, real\, and unapologetically authentic slice of country music history.” (The Bakersfield Sound) \nCOUNTRYSIDE RIDE \nThe Countryside Ride Band was described in 2016 by The Portland Mercury as “spot-on\, honky-tonk preservationists capable of teaching a master class.” Founded in 2005 by childhood friends Bret Ervin (guitar and vocals)\, Joshua Kunze (lead guitar)\, and Jessica Renee (bass and vocals)\, Countryside Ride originally performed as a three-piece before inviting some of the best country & western players in the Pacific Northwest to join them. Countryside Ride is now performing primarily as a five-piece honkytonk band. For over two decades\, Countryside Ride has been writing and performing original music and traditional honkytonk standards in venues throughout the region. The current line-up includes the tremendous J.D. Cunningham on pedal-steel guitar\, and the legendary Kevin\, “Shuffle King\,” Major on drums. \nIn the years since Countryside Ride’s inception\, the band has been working to hone their craft the way their honkytonk heroes did: playing marathon sets for diehard country music enthusiasts wherever they may be. Countryside Ride can be found performing at festivals\, dances\, special events\, venues large and small\, and rodeos like the Pendleton Roundup: consistently entertaining multiple generations of music fans while breathing new energy in traditional Country music. Additionally\, Countryside Ride has shared the stage with acts like Wayne “The Train” Hancock\, Rosie Flores\, Hellbound Glory\, Summer Dean\, and many others. Although they have released two of their own records (with two more in the works)\, Countryside Ride’s repertoire is vast and incorporates multiple sub-genres of American music as well: making them the Pacific Northwest’s premier honkytonk dance band.

The indomitable duo has brought their optimistic Americana polish to international stages shared with the likes of Rayland Baxter\, The Dead South\, ZZ Ward\, Fantastic Cat and ALO among others. \nFox and Bones’ fourth album titled “Long Time Honey” is a collaboration with esteemed songwriter Greg Holden and was awarded Best Folk/Americana Album of 2024 by the PNW Music Awards.Americana Highways (US) beamed Long Time Honey “should rightly be considered one of the best Americana albums of the year” and Naga Mag (Greece) lauded\, “The much-loved vocals are so familiar and warm that you feel the love overflowing inside you” \nTheir hardworking artistic output has earned them first place at the 2023 Tucson Folk Festival songwriting contest and second place in the International Acoustic Music Awards\, amongst other accolades. In between their rigorous tour schedule\, the duo founded Portland’s Folk Festival: an annual celebration of folk and Americana music at the iconic Crystal Ballroom in their hometown of Portland\, Oregon. \nHALEY JOHNSEN \nHaley Johnsen\, an Oregon-born artist\, fuses the heartfelt emotion of Americana with the infectious energy of Alt Pop. With a timeless voice that channels the soulful power of Brandi Carlile and the warm authenticity of Bonnie Raitt\, her music is deeply personal yet universally resonant. Rising to the top of American Idol Season 11\, Haley embarked on a prolific songwriting journey\, releasing acclaimed EPs and her debut album Golden Days (2019)\, which featured Allen Stone on the bluesy track “Weekend.” \nHaley has shared stages with acts like KT Tunstall\, Joseph\, and The Talbott Brothers and toured as bassist and backup vocalist for Big Wild\, performing at iconic festivals and venues such as Coachella and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Her pandemic-inspired album Goner (2022) blended retro pop with indie folk\, while her latest EP Late Bloomer (2024) mixes Texas twang with her Oregon roots\, focusing on growth and self-expression. Described as “an alt-pop Americana album with soul and a backbone” by Willamette Week\, Late Bloomer empowers listeners to find their voice and step into their power. Through captivating performances and heartfelt storytelling\, Haley leaves audiences feeling inspired\, seen\, and ready to embrace their true selves. \nWILD BLUE MORNING \nWild Blue Morning is the folk project of Portland based singer-songwriter Colin Andrews. His voice carries a ghostly rasp\, the sound of a real old time vagabond poet. The stories hit hard\, that old gibson rollin like lightning across a desert sunset. The very dust off his boots are like a magic that seduces the audience into awe\, reverie\, tears and laughter.

SUMMARY:The Deslondes / Kristina Murray
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, November 20th\, 2025 \n$25 Advance // $30 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nTHE DESLONDES \n“This band feels like the old family farm\,” says Sam Doores\, one of five songwriters and multi-instrumentalists in the Deslondes. “It’s a place where we can meet for the Fourth of July\, bring our families\, grill some burgers\, and make some music together. It’s always going to be there\, and we know it’s going to work and feel good.” After more than 15 years together\, four albums\, and countless live shows\, the five members have found new inspiration in the ties that bind them together as friends and collaborators\, as something close to kin. That sense of comfort and commitment animates their new album\, Roll It Out\, lending it a quiet poignancy as they reflect on what it means to devote yourself to other people—whether it’s family\, friends\, audiences\, or other guys in the tour van with you. \n Founded less as a band than as a neighborhood hang at Doores’ home on Deslonde Street\, the band devised an anything-goes philosophy that allowed them to incorporate sounds they picked up on their travels and everything they heard at home: classic country\, hobo folk\, crust punk\, rural blues\, Third Ward jazz\, rockabilly\, r&b\, Fats Domino and Allen Toussaint but also George Jones and the Band. “We take turns giving each other somebody to lean on when it’s our turn and the freedom to express themself any way they want\,” says Riley Downing\, who usually plays guitar and sings his own and others’ songs. “That means we don’t have a particular genre. It’s a gumbo of all different genres and time periods. Everybody’s literally into everything.” \nRoll It Out recaptures the crackling energy of the band’s early days but also reflects the new perspective of age and maturity. “We’ve had some of these songs for a long while\, and fans who know us might well know some of these songs\,” says John James Tourville\, who plays electric guitar\, pedal steel and occasionally the fiddle\, and who writes songs but doesn’t sing them. “It’s about half and half old versus new\, so it feels both fresh and familiar to us. It reminds me of back when we were starting out\, before we were even the Deslondes—back when we were the Tumbleweeds. It’s like we’re moving forward to get to where we were.” \nKRISTINA MURRAY“I’ve been to some pretty low places these last ten years\,” Kristina Murray confesses. “Faced a lot of heartbreak and loss and grief\, but you have to learn to live with those things if you’re going to survive. You have to persevere.” \nThat spirit of perseverance forms the bedrock of Murray’s stunning new album\, Little Blue. Recorded with producers Misa Arriaga and Rachael Moore\, the collection grapples with loneliness\, desperation\, and existential crises through a series of cinematic snapshots of small-town burnouts and last call lovers. Murray is a country artist in the truest sense\, a genuine craftswoman with a keen eye and ear for the little details that bring her working-class characters to life\, and her delivery is timeless\, blurring the lines between the old school honky-tonk\, swampy Americana\, and R&B-infused southern rock she grew up on in her home state of Georgia. If Murray sounds like a seasoned vet on Little Blue\, that’s because she is. While the album marks her Normaltown debut\, Murray’s spent the last decade since moving to Nashville paying her dues in an endless series of dive bars and juke joints\, and the result is an electrifying introduction to an artist only just beginning to get the kind of wider recognition her talent has long warranted. \n“Country music is having a moment right now\, and of course I’m thrilled to be a part of that\,” Murray reflects. “But even when that moment passes\, I’ll still be making it. This genre’s a never-ending treasure chest of discoveries. Country music is who I am.” \nBorn and raised in Atlanta\, Murray first fell in love with country music at the age of five\, when she heard Patsy Cline’s Greatest Hits on cassette in her momma’s car. After self-releasing her debut album in 2013\, she moved to Nashville\, quickly finding her place in the community as she helped establish the now-legendary Honky Tonk Tuesdays series and became one of the first women to front a band at Santa’s Pub. \n“I wanted to surround myself with great writers and players so I could grow as an artist\,” Murray explains. “It’s funny to look back now and realize how little I knew when I first got to town\, but I was confident\, I’ll say that\,” she laughs. \nMurray worked multiple jobs at a time to pay for her sophomore album\, Southern Ambrosia\, which landed on an array of Best Of lists and prompted Rolling Stone to declare her an Artist You Need To Know\, praising her sound as “country-rock with a deep\, poetic reverence for the land in which it was born.” The breakout critical acclaim didn’t translate to breakout success\, though\, and Murray soon found herself right back where she started\, unsure of where to go or what it all meant. \n“I felt stuck\,” she recalls. “My father died suddenly when I was 25\, a wound that never heals\, and through breakups\, car wrecks\, and just general brokenness\, all of which I was still processing when the whole world shut down in 2020. And while I’d had some brushes with notoriety and a few opportunities to tour in Europe and share bills with some fantastic artists over the years\, it just seemed like I was spinning my wheels getting nowhere.” \nSo Murray did what she always does when the going gets tough: she kept writing\, kept performing\, worked harder. \n“I just wrote and wrote and stockpiled songs for the right opportunity\,” she explains. “I knew I needed to level up\, and that meant finding the people who could help me get there.” \nFirst up was Misa Arriaga (Kacey Musgraves\, Wyatt Flores)\, who’d collaborated with Murray on a covers project in 2022 and eagerly signed on to help her record a full-length LP. It was around this same time that Murray met Rachael Moore (T Bone Burnett’s longtime engineer)\, who was so blown away by Murray’s live show that she invited her to come record in Muscle Shoals pro bono. \n“I wanted to work with both of them\,” Murray recalls\, “but with two different producers in two different studios\, I honestly wasn’t sure how it would all come together. Rather than worry about it\, though\, I tried to just trust in the songs and be as present as possible in the moment\, which helped me fall more in love with the process than ever before.” \nIn the end\, the dual producer setup proved to be perfect for capturing the two sides of Murray’s creative personality. Over a winter weekend in Muscle Shoals with Moore\, she and the band dug deep and chased sounds with meticulous focus and precision; over a spring weekend back in Nashville with Arriaga\, they were able to let loose and embrace a spirit of improvisation and discovery. \n“Both producers work in very different ways\, but their techniques turned out to be really complementary\,” Murray explains. “The songs were so cohesive when they all came together. It just felt totally natural and organic.” \n“A lot of the characters on this record are coming to terms with the fact that life just has a lot of sadness in it\,” Murray reflects. “But making peace with that sadness is what allows you to carry on and find joy and meaning and purpose.” \n“Our time here is so short on this little blue dot\,” Murray muses\, “too short for all the bullshit we get caught up in day to day. This whole record is dropping in and out of these little snippets of sadness in life\, but I wanted to end on this note of hope\, this reminder that you can still find love and beauty no matter how dark things may seem.” \nAll it takes is a little perseverance. \nAnthony D’Amato

SUMMARY:Goodnight\,Texas / Ryan Sollee (of The Builders & The Butchers) at Trout Lake Hall
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS RELEASE FRIDAY\, AUGUST 1st at 10am PST \nSunday\, November 16th\, 2025 \n$25 Advance // $30 Day Of Show5pm Doors / 6pm ShowAll Ages \nGOODNIGHT\, TEXAS \nConventional wisdom says the two frontmen of a band shouldn’t live on opposite sides of the United States\, but that’s never seemed to deter Avi Vinocur and Patrick Dyer Wolf. \nGoodnight\, Texas is a tough-to-define storytelling folk rock band whose strength lies in unexpected sweet spots. Drawing their name from Pat and Avi’s onetime geographic midpoint (the real town of Goodnight in the State of Texas\, a tiny hamlet east of Amarillo directly betwixt San Francisco\, CA and Chapel Hill\, NC)\, the five-piece band also exists at the center of its songwriters’ contrasting styles — via a 1913 Gibson A mandolin and a 2015 Danelectro Baritone Guitar\, at the crossroads of folk and blues and rock ‘n’ roll\, in a place where dry wit and dark truths meet hope and utmost sincerity. \nThe band’s new single\, “RUNAWAYS\,” trades the thought-provoking\, earthy blend of folk-rock for which they’re known\, for a beast of a hard-rock song. Indelible riffs\, thundering rhythms and a positively scorching lead guitar\, from none other than metal giant and Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett\, prove that this band is not afraid to push their own musical boundaries. \n“This is the hardest we’ve ever rocked on a recording\,” Patrick explains of the new single. “That’s thanks in no small part to an actual and absolute vintage Kirk Hammett wah solo on his legendary Greeny guitar\, about which I am self-pinching daily. The main riff of the song had been lurking in my drafts like a caged animal since our last album\, and at some point in the past year we decided it was time to set it free.” \n“We’re not abandoning our banjos and mandolins\, and in fact\, there’s banjo in there; if you squint you can hear it. For now though\, we’re slinging double electrics\, Scott traded brushes for drumsticks\, Chris is grinding the low strings\, and we have a metal legend coming in at the 2:25 mark.” \n2022 brought the band’s highly anticipated fourth album ‘How Long Will It Take Them To Die’\, a dark yet lighthearted shoebox of knick-knacks and newspaper clippings – perhaps reflecting on either two years of global isolation\, or the whole of American history. Where past Goodnight\, Texas albums have traveled cross-country and throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries\, this new offering falls on a z-axis somewhere between the aurora borealis and six feet underground. \nOf the album’s first single ‘Hypothermic’\, singer and co-songwriter Avi Vinocur says: \n“Stories from different corners of the American past can often be dark and heavy. Our band’s music has always followed along\, telling tales of fiction and non-fiction with sonic landscapes to match. Many of our past songs and albums had taken place in the American South\, Northeast\, Midwest\, and Southwest – but I had written a story in my notebook of a character braving the frigid tundra of Canada by car\, north toward the distant U.S. state of Alaska – through hallucinations\, paranoia\, and exhaustion – to escape something unknown. It matched the sinister sound of this strange heel-thumper I had been working with on guitar – and together they were a perfect pair. “Hypothermic” is the result – our attempt to tell stories of America’s furthest corner\, under a darker headlight\, and attempting to sonically capture the heaviness of not only America’s past\, but its present.” \nIn March 2020\, as the world confronted a new indoor reality\, two long minutes of the GN\,TX mainstay “The Railroad” found themselves in the intro sequence of the first episode of Netflix’s “Tiger King\,” which shattered streaming records with 34 million views in 10 days. \nIn 2021\, Goodnight\, Texas were invited by Metallica to contribute to The Metallica Blacklist\, a collection of reinterpretations of their legendary 1991 album Metallica (the Black Album). Goodnight\, Texas was the only band to cover “Of Wolf and Man” gaining praise from press and even Metallica themselves – they used the song over the PA following their live performances in late 2021. \nRYAN SOLLEEAmerican singer/songwriter and musician from Anchorage\, Alaska\, currently living in Portland\, Oregon. Ryan Sollee is known mainly as the mastermind of the Portland-based folk rock/alt-country band The Builders And The Butchers.

SUMMARY:The Fretliners / Tillinghast Mtn Trio
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, November 14th\, 2025 \n$22 Advance // $25 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nTHE FRETLINERS \nIt is rare for there to exist a defining moment that changes the trajectory of four lives at once. But\, clear as a lightning bolt in an open field\, so electric was the moment The Fretliners first played together around a single microphone in the Cloverlick banjo shop barn one fateful evening\, they knew they would be inseparable from that moment on. \nThe Fretliners are a genuine and powerful bluegrass quartet recognized for their songwriting and undeniable chemistry. Their newfound camaraderie produces an energy that is as infectious on stage as it is on record. So much so that in the summer of 2023\, they won both band competitions at Telluride Bluegrass and Rockygrass Festivals—a feat that had only been accomplished once before. That September\, they released their debut eponymous album to acclaim and adoration. \n With one eye on the rear-view\, inspired by that traditional high lonesome sound\, The Fretliners navigate a road less traveled into the peaks of Rocky Mountain original bluegrass. \nTILLINGHAST MTN TRIO \nA Tillinghast Mtn Trio show involves deft songwriting\, smoking lead guitar\, improvisational cello\, and usually a healthy dose of off-beat humor. “Richard Tillinghast is a poet; he has traveled America and abroad with his senses open and attuned and has distilled many thoughts\, impressions and feelings into beautiful\, restless verse in song.” (Dave Horner\, Creative Loafing SC). Richard was a finalist in the Ozark Folk Festival 2024 songwriter contest. \nTova Tillinghast is a classically trained cellist and has performed with the Walla Walla Symphony\, Whitman College Symphony\, and the Columbia Gorge Sinfonietta. “A guitar and banjo playing singer-songwriter with a classically trained cellist is not an obvious choice\, but it’s a musical marriage that works beautifully.” (Rodger Nichols\, The Dalles Chronicle OR). \nLuke Maddox brings lead guitar and strong harmonies to the Trio. He is well known in the Columbia Gorge as band leader for Roux Dio and guitar picker for local favorites Chicken$#it Gamblers.
