SUMMARY:BARN BURNER: Ural Thomas & The Pain / The Get Tight
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, April 18th\, 2026 \n$25 Advance // $30 Day Of Show\n6pm Doors / 7pm Show\nAll Ages \nBARN BURNER shows are all about the dancing! No matter who might be on the stage\, you are guaranteed to groove. \nURAL THOMAS & THE PAIN \nUniversally recognized as one of the most exciting singers remaining from the original soul era\, 82 year-old Ural Thomas and his band The Pain just released their third LP “Dancing Dimensions.” Thomas initially made his name in the 1960s with stone cold soul classic releases like “Pain Is The Name of Your Game\,” “Can You Dig It\,” “Deep Soul\,” and his 1964 recording debut with The Monterays “Push – Em Up.” After a musical journey that commenced in his native Portland\, Oregon\, and led to Los Angeles\, Cincinnati\, and New York\, sharing stages with everyone from James Brown to Stevie Wonder to Otis Redding to Etta James\, Thomas became disillusioned with the music business and returned home to the city of roses at the end of the decade – where he continues to reign as Portland’s uncontested Soul Brother Number One. In 2014 Ural met drummer/bandleader Scott Magee at a Sunday jam session he’d been hosting for decades and Ural Thomas and The Pain was born. The full showband set to work\, prolifically gigging\, touring the world\, and releasing four critically acclaimed records (two LPs and two singles) between 2015 and 2018. Despite the usual COVID-19 obstacles\, The Pain finally completed their much-anticipated third album in 2021.\nWhile “Dancing Dimensions” explores everything from sweet Chicago soul to airy West Coast psychedelia to Sly funk\, their latest collection retains the distinctive sound this well-oiled tightly-knit musical aggregation organically developed over years of relentless work. Classic yet unmistakably contemporary at the same time\, “Dancing Dimensions” is the most accurate representation of The Pain’s unique flavor\, power\, and musical breadth committed to vinyl thus far. \nTHE GET TIGHT \nThe Get Tight is a soul-inspired\, funk instrumental band featuring Xan McCurdy (CAKE\, The Loved Ones)\, keyboardist Garth Klippert (Old Lights\, Fruit Bats)\, drummer Adams Beam (Megan Diana\, Independent)\, and bassist Allen Hunter (Eels\, Ural Thomas & the Pain).

SUMMARY:Bob Sumner / Jeffrey Silverstein
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, April 17th\, 2026 \n$17 Advance // $17 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nBOB SUMNER \nSinger-songwriter Bob Sumner cites the musically progressive sensibilities of his heroes when talking about the spirit of his new album\, Some Place to Rest Easy\, out now via Fluff & Gravy (worldwide) and North Country Collective (Canada). “They were always creating something new\, something different\,” he says of idols like George Jones\, Willie Nelson\, and Waylon Jennings. With that ideology in mind\, Sumner set about creating an album that takes as much inspiration from the audio production of Randy Travis as it does the lyrical soul of Big Thief’s Adrianne Lenker—a melding of eras\, sounds\, concepts\, and stylings that’s informed by the past\, but never bound by it. \nWith Some Place to Rest Easy\, Sumner picks up the tempo compared to his previous releases\, balancing the stirring lyrical depth fans have come to expect with a more buoyant\, lively feel. “It felt appropriate to give the music itself some joy\,” says the man who’s made a career out of tapping into difficult-to-touch-on\, real-life stuff in a relatable\, palatable manner. In the end\, that’s what Sumner’s music has always been about—more than a single sound\, influence\, instrumental\, or clever line. “I always want people to feel something\,” Sumner explains. “If I heard that this album helped somebody that was feeling down\, even just by feeling some other emotion for a little while\, that’s the number one thing for me.” \nFans can now stream or purchase Some Place to Rest Easy at this link and watch the video for the album’s focus track\, “Didn’t We Dream\,” here. To purchase tickets or to keep an eye on future tour dates\, please visit bobsumnermusic.com. \n Some Place to Rest Easy In The News:“a blend of past\, present\, and future sounds” – American Songwriter“More than a single sound\, influence\, instrumental\, or theme\, the through line in Sumner’s music has always been vulnerability.” – Glide Magazine“Genuine and weighty songwriting” – Americana Highways“High class\, country leaning Americana.” – Americana UK“It takes a deft hand to put out a good\, sad record…Bob Sumner nails it on Someplace To Rest Easy.” – Twangville \nBandcamp – Best Country MusicSaving Country Music – Most anticipated releases of 2024American Songwriter – “Standout Album” \nJEFFREY SILVERSTEIN \nJeffrey Silverstein’s new EP Roseway is named after the quiet\, tree-lined neighborhood in Northeast Portland where the guitarist and songwriter lives. “My drive home from my teaching job is all uphill\,” he says. “You kind of crest over this ridge to get to where you want to go. Every moment that happens to me\, I just have this sense of ease once I get to the top.” That sense of relief–the feeling of completing a tough journey—animates the six relaxed and meditative songs here. While half of the tracks are pastoral ambient instrumentals and half are plainspoken lyrical numbers with ample twang and groove\, each captures Silverstein’s striking comfort with his voice\, his process\, and his role as a bandleader. To him\, these songs feel like home. It’s New Age for the everyman: more cosmic than country and more accessible than esoteric. This is what cosmic country sounds like in 2024. \nThis EP picks up where his artistic breakthrough and 2023 full-length Western Sky Music left off. A reinvention for Silverstein that traded homespun solo recordings for an expansive full-band sound\, the LP was acclaimed by outlets like Aquarium Drunkard and The Portland Mercury\, who praised its\, “cosmic country and shimmering Americana that feels like a significant step forward from his previous work.” On Roseway\, he reunites with his Western Sky Music rhythm section in drummer Dana Buoy (Akron/Family) and bassist Alex Chapman and enlists pedal steel player Connor Gallaher (Anna St. Louis\, Lana Del Rey) to flesh out the songs. “I always view EPs as moments to try things and experiment\,” says Silverstein. “Building this trust and communication with Alex and Dana has made for a wonderful partnership and helped me take risks I normally wouldn’t.” \nRecorded with Ryan Oxford (Y La Bamba\, Rose City Band)\, Roseway boasts an eclectic and exploratory palate. Songs like the inviting and laid-back “Gassed Up” find Silverstein adding country-funk grooves over inviting\, spaced-out lyrics. Atop a buoyant bass line from Chapman\, Silverstein sings\, “You’re gassed up / You gotta go / You’re not lonely / You’re just Alone.” It recalls JJ Cale at his swampiest. “I’m always thinking about how you can incorporate more of a boogie and groove with the twang\,” says Silverstein. Even at its twangiest\, Roseway never feels like a throwback or a retread. Instead\, it pushes these signifiers into headier territory. Take the instrumental “Headcleaner\,” which takes on a krautrock-inspired haze. Elsewhere\, single “Cog In the Wheel” takes on a nomadic search for good vibes. He sings\, “I’ve been cruisin’ / such a long time / Never want to settle down.” That track is a balm that feels like getting closer to a destination. \nThe vinyl version of Roseway features a b-side that includes the first pressing of Silverstein’s 2021 EP Torii Gates. “That kind of makes this a split release with myself\,” he jokes. The pairing is intentional and important\, however. Also recorded with Oxford and featured Chapman on bass\, that release found Silverstein beginning to branch out from solo fare to a full band. Here\, much of the material is anchored by a drum machine: It was an exercise in appreciating small moments and being comfortable with transitional periods. While the songs are cozy\, hypnotic\, and compelling\, there’s a tension in how they feel like the starting point to a reinvention. On highlight “Soft Lens\,” he sings\,“Stuck outside the Torii Gates / tired of hearing you have to wait.” When he wrote that song\, that gate was a metaphor for his own musical journey. \nTaken together\, these two EPs feel like a bridge to each other: a document of an artist cresting the hill of his process and vision. It’s a record of contemplation and comfort\, not of prescription and platitudes. Roseway opens with the raw and ramshackle “Countryside\,” which finds Silverstein singing\, “If there’s a gate / I’m passing through / If there’s a light / It’s shining blue.” The line is both the North Star of Roseway and a testament to how far Silverstein has come threading disparate worlds and finding his voice. “I’ve learned to be cool with things not working and failing and loving all of that\,” he says. “It’s all about accepting that part of the process. I love imperfect music. I love songs where you hear the wrong notes. I don’t want to muddy anything up too much and get out of my way.”– Josh Terry

SUMMARY:Pedro The Lion / Lo Pony
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS RELEASE FRIDAY JANUARY 30th at 10AM PST! \nSaturday\, April 11th\, 2026 \n$28 Advance // $30 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nPEDRO THE LION \nFor thirty years\, David Bazan has been writing about what it means to believe in something—and what it means when those beliefs fray. When Pedro the Lion released \nIt’s Hard to Find a Friend in 1998\, Bazan was already a keen observer of moral and existential conflict\, capturing minor human disappointments with devastating attention. By the time Control came out\, his writing had sharpened\, slicing through suburban politeness and the American dream with pinpoint precision. For over a decade\, he built \nPedro the Lion into one of indie rock’s most quietly radical projects\, chronicling doubt\, faith\, guilt\, and the messy pursuit of grace in a way that felt both deeply personal and universally resonant. \nThen\, in 2006\, he retired the Pedro the Lion moniker\, as if setting down an old burden. Bazan kept writing\, releasing the synth project Headphones and five solo albums that were blunt and revelatory in their own right\, but the decision to retire the name felt definitive. Until\, suddenly\, it wasn’t. In 2017\, after being dormant for more than a decade\, Pedro the Lion was back. The deeply autobiographical albums to follow\, Phoenix\, Havasu and Santa Cruz\, marked a return to the places that shaped him literally and metaphorically\, tracing the lines of the past to understand the shape of the present. \nNow\, on the occasion of Pedro the Lion’s 30th anniversary\, Bazan is doing what he does best: stepping onto a stage with long-time musical collaborator\, Erik Walters on guitar and backing vocals\, along with recent addition to the band\, Andrew Rudd on drums\, and making these songs feel brand new again. The anniversary shows are less about commemoration than they are continuation\, a chance to revisit their 30-year catalog in a way that is still active\, still evolving. \n“The name felt like an imaginary friend for me\,” he says\, “a way to have a relationship with myself.” But if Pedro the Lion was once an imaginary friend\, it is now something else. It is less like a ghost from the past and more like an old companion you fall back in step with\, no matter how much time has passed. \nFor all the sorrow and searching that has shaped it\, the music has always had an essential warmth—a belief in people\, in possibility\, and in the redemptive power of bearing witness to your own life. Three decades in\, Pedro the Lion remains a project about faith\, even if that faith has taken on new shapes. It’s the persistent hope that there is meaning in the telling: if you lay it all out\, every doubt and devotion\, every failure and flicker of hope\, something honest will emerge. \n– Danielle Dietze \nLO PONY \nLo Pony is a queer folk group based in Portland\, Oregon. Known for their intricate three-part harmonies\, dreamy soundscapes\, and quirky social media presence\, the band has garnered a dedicated following\, especially within the queer community. Their forthcoming EP\, “Elephant Sky\,” is an exploration of loss\, nostalgia\, and a slow appreciation for the beauty of everyday life. This tender 6-song debut features their signature blend of delicate vocals and lush\, expansive instrumentals reminiscent of the sweeping landscapes of the Shasta Valley region from which the songs first originated. Inspired by the ways visual and lyrical storytelling can intersect and inform one another\, the record is accompanied by a trio of self-produced music videos that weave together themes of self-discovery\, the concept of home\, and the beauty of friends who find you in the darkness and hold you through it.”

SUMMARY:Night Heron / Theodor
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, April 10\, 2026 \n$15 Advance // $20 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nNIGHT HERONNight Heron\, the musical project helmed by former Radiation City frontman Cameron Spies\, former Y La Bamba bassist Grace Bugbee\, and former Reptaliens drummer Tyler Verigin\, crafts intimate soundscapes that exist in the space between whispers and dreams. Their debut album “Instructions for Night” emerged from personal transformation and global isolation\, featuring distinctive ASMR-like vocals and carefully constructed sonic textures. Following up with their sophomore album “Escapism\,” Night Heron continues to explore life’s quiet moments\, weaving between dreamy morning reflections and twilight contemplations. Joined by accomplished musicians from Portland’s indie scene (including members of Y La Bamba\, Reptaliens\, The Apricots\, and Weeed)\, Night Heron creates music that invites listeners to lean in closer\, finding universal meaning in life’s most intimate moments. \nTHEODORTHEODOR is no longer a hidden gem amongst sweet soul lovers. The band’s unique psychedelic approach to this genre received international attention from vinyl influencers like Somewhere Soul\, tastemaker radio stations like KEXP\, and leading record stores from Tokyo to San Francisco. \nBackground story: Theodor is named after a 24-year-old cat that observed the genesis of the band’s first album. The recording sessions started deep in the pandemic and captured this peaceful solitude. The outcome was their self-titled LP. The idea to form a recording project was born on a road trip to Italy. Rob (Okta Logue) and Lui (LUI HILL) were listening to tapes of contemporary soul music which became the subsequent inspiration for the project: a vision to record a moody and relaxed soundscape. The band was then rounded out by Max (Fooks Nil) and Greg (Triorität). “THEODOR” was released on the French record label Broc Recordz (2023). \nNow: After their well-received self-titled debut album\, the band is back with a new LP. HOLOCENE has a contemporary sound while showcasing the four members admiration for 60’s Jazz and 70’s soul and funk recordings. The unique male falsetto and the soulful timbre of the two singers tell stories of self-reflection\, thoughts of friends passed on\, contemplation of the cosmos\, and a lingering hint of something greater. Soulful acoustic drums meet cheerful melodic bass lines being embraced by warm and dreamy synthesizers. \nWith their new album “HOLOCENE” the band consolidated their mellow and psychedelic style which brought it to a more refined level. Static drum machines\, elastic instrumental cascades\, and classic song structures with a pop music appeal give this LP a wide sonic range and scope. Each of the 10 tracks on this album evoke a cinematic vibe that activates your imagination. HOLOCENE is the perfect soundtrack for a hot and humid summer day\, adding a magic dash to your twelve o’clock tea. If you love the silky synthesizer of AIR\, the weird and mellow vibes of early Mac DeMarco\, or the driving grooves of hot 70’s soul and funk\, you will love Theodor

SUMMARY:Jesse Roper / Lewi Longmire
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, March 20th\, 2026 \n$20 Advance // $25 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nJESSE ROPER \nBased in Victoria\, BC\, Jesse Roper is a blues/Americana artist with a penchant for writing modern indie-infused blues music and delivering bombastic live performances buoyed by his virtuosic guitar playing. His innate and impressive musical talent has served him well\, giving him the flexibility to play with soul icon Booker T. Jones\, rock veteran Colin James\, blues belter Beth Hart\, and Canadian legend Burton Cummings. The stage is where Roper shines. It has been his home since overcoming crippling stage fright during his early twenties. Fear is a part of Roper’s past that barely seems real today – especially when you see the in-concert image of a six-string soldier\, hair matted to his face\, tearing up the stage\, without a hint of second-guessing. \nRoper’s last album ‘Horizons’ marked a sonic high point in his career thus far. Working closely with famed JUNO-nominated producer Gus van Go (Metric\, The Stills\, Whitehorse\, Arkells\, The Trews\, Sam Roberts) on that new collection of songs has pushed Roper into creating some of his best work. “Recording with Gus and Werner F was on a whole new level. \nRoper released the first single off his upcoming LP (to be released in late 2023) “Make It All Work Out” on March 29th\, 2023. The song charted on Canadian terrestrial and satellite radio throughout the spring and early summer. Now all eyes are on the next release\, “Throw This Rope” produced by Gus van Go (Metric\, Whitehorse\, Sam Roberts Band). The song will be the second of multiple energetic\, fresh\, soulful and r&b inspired tracks from a forthcoming LP that harkens the voices of JJ Cale\, The Teskey Brothers\, Ben Harper and others – while maintaining Roper’s strong and unique expression in the genre. \nWhen asked to describe the song\, Jesse remarks\, “Throw This Rope is about being told how to run your life and career by folks who are currently running theirs aground. I sure don’t know everything and I never will but I’ve been given every manner of advice from folks who have no idea what they’re talking about. It’s frustrating sometimes.” \nJesse is a master at connecting his personal story and experiences to his songwriting – crafting narratives that hit on life’s challenges and eccentricities – but that remain upbeat\, engaging and wildly entertaining songs. \nAdventuresome doesn’t properly describe Roper as an artist\, because when the guitar-wielding dynamo sets out to accomplish something\, there’s no telling where his mind will wander\, or when his energy will go. \nLEWI LONGMIRE \nOregon Music Hall of Fame member Lewi Longmire has built a reputation as Portland’s multi-instrumentalist “go to guy.” In the decades since relocating to Portland from Albuquerque\, New Mexico\, he’s been included on shows and recordings by many of the Northwest’s finest bands and songwriters. He’s regularly played with national acts Kassi Valazza\, Michael Hurley\, John Craigie\, TK & the Holy Know Nothings\, Alela Diane\, Victoria Williams\, Dolorean\, AgesandAges\, Sallie Ford & the Sound Outside\, the Minus 5\, Breathe Owl Breathe and Tara Jane O’Neill as well as local luminaries Denver\, The Portland Country Underground\, Midlo/Pancake Breakfast\, Barna Howard\, Fernando\, James Low\, Perhapst (Decemberists)\, Little Sue\, Casey Neill\, the Freak Mountain Ramblers\, and was an anchor member of Portland’s all-star tribute to the Allman Brothers\, Brothers and Sister\, as well as the annual local charity tribute to the Band’s Last Waltz concert. \nLewi has taken all the things he learned from working with these fine performers and when not out touring with one of them\, spends his time leading a roots rock/americana band of his own\, singing his own original compositions and some deep cut songs from some of his favorite artists. This group owes much to the American tradition of good songs played with high energy\, deep roots\, and an unpretentious sense of fun. Their sound finds the connection between the basement roots feel of The Band\, the raspy blue-eyed soul of Joe Cocker\, the desert space of Giant Sand\, the “without a net” deep space improvisations of the San Francisco ballrooms\, the punk abandon of The Stooges and the quiet contemplation of Neil Young playing solo. \nHelping achieve this are THE LEFT COAST ROASTERS\, a band of stalwart Portland musicians. Bill Rudolph (bass and vocals) played with the Crackpots and Little Sue for years\, driving their home crowd into an energetic frenzy with his low tones. Ned Folkerth (drums) has toured the world over with many groups\, including the midwest’s Pinetop Seven and Portland’s own Caleb Klauder Band\, always laying down the perfect groove to cure whatever ails ya. Dan Eccles (guitar) has most often been seen in the band Richmond Fontaine or backing up local rock legend Fernando\, as well as recording and producing records for local friends.

SUMMARY:Ages and Ages / Scarves at Trout Lake Hall
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, March 7th\, 2026 \n$23 Advance // $25 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nAGES AND AGES \nA lot was happening in my life when the songs for Fine Thanks and You began to emerge. It feels strange to talk about them without the broader context – but it’s also worth mentioning that these songs weren’t necessarily written ‘about’ what I was moving through\, namely\, my dad dying. Not one song on this record is about death or grief. But in so many ways the realness of that process was creating a lot of vivid existential sparks that the mind wanted to follow. \nThe sparks I chose to follow were mostly simple reflections about what it’s like to be in a body\, to have agency\, to have space\, and to move through this window of time like a visitor. It was an exploration\, and with every exploration comes imagery: heatwaves waving back at me (Hot Pavement)…sidewalks slipping off into infinity (City Walkin’)…painted hills\, sharp like knives\, cutting up the purple sky (Wild Ride)…up again\, into the light again\, open my eyes and then I realize I don’t want it to end (Second Thoughts). \nMusically\, I wanted the songs on Fine Thanks and You to have a steady pulse and I wanted them to feel sexy\, like the clicking of confident high heels pacing rhythmically on the granite tiles of life’s mad hallway—bass hooks\, steady kick and snare\, warm synths – all of these elements existing like a reliable landmark on an electric and mysterious skyline. Because thematically there is searching in these songs\, but never a sense of feeling lost. \nWeirdly\, it was during these times of channeling thoughts into songs that I found myself gravitating to big box stores with no intention of buying anything. This might seem like a non-sequitur – but these places were a calming backdrop to a mind that hadn’t been untangled yet. Something about the sterility of the big box store -their utter neutrality and aggressive dedication to the bland and basic. These places were a blank and empty canvas for me to cycle through ideas until a line or a hook\, or even a whole song came out. I walked through their aisles for a long stretch of months. “Can I help you find anything?” I want to find a state of mind I haven’t been in (Inspiration). “What is it you’re looking for?” I don’t know what I want\, all I know is that I want it to be real and I wanna feel amazing (Feel Amazing). “How are you doing today?” Fine thanks and you. \nI worked at a place close to a recording studio called Trash Treasury\, where Cameron Spies records and produces – so we would cross paths and talk to each other all the time about just about anything – obviously music being one of them. If feels strange to say now\, but because of our day-to-day proximity\, it almost seemed too “easy” to choose Cam to produce this record\, so I spent some time looking elsewhere. But the more I spent time listening to the records he’d worked on (including his own band Night Heron)\, the more I knew he was the right person to help us create that sonic umbrella we were all wanting to huddle under. \nWe recorded mostly at Trash Treasury and partly at our own studio\, Friendly Ghost. In either case\, the studio was like a friendly fallout shelter for all of us to have fun and try things and be freaks. It was a lovely experience\, consisting of Rob Oberdorfer (bass)\, Evan Railton (drums)\, and me – Tim Perry (guitar and vocals). Someone who was also instrumental during the second phase of recording\, was Mira Stanley. I met Mira on a co-write we did over zoom and was in awe of her voice. We were working a lot at that time on our own material\, but I asked if she would like to come and contribute her vocals to the Ages record. She drove all the way from Nashville to make it happen\, and immediately fit right in. So much\, in fact\, that she now lives in Portland and is a card-carrying member of the band. \nSCARVES \nEver since Scarves’ inception in 2013\, the Seattle-based indie band’s lineup continues to evolve with Niko Stathakopoulos at its nucleus as the main storyteller. The revolution of band members follows Niko’s artistic journey in local music communities spanning from coast to coast. His thrilling adventures in the depths of punk venue basements\, shopping at record stores\, and hanging around house shows allowed Niko to befriend the many talented musicians who would someday contribute to the Scarves roster and discography. Following the release of their 2022 album\, Delicate Creatures\, the band had the pleasure of opening for artists such as PUP\, Deerhoof\, and the Dodos as well as performing at Bumbershoot Music Festival and the legendary radio station\, KEXP. Their stories as independent artists paired with the struggles of real-world experiences inspired the band to write their 2026 album\, Strays Forever. Alongside Stathakopolous during the creation of this album\, Scarves consisted of Nessa Grasing (vocals/guitar)\, Jesse Cohen (bass)\, Jacob Whinihan (drums)\, and LA-native Elijah Sokolow (guitar and production). \nStrays Forever is about seeking optimism and hope against the intense fear and anxiety induced by our modern era. Niko explains\, “I tried to make the music feel grand yet cozy\, glitchy but homey. It’s also a lot about forgiveness\, and coping with family trauma with hopes to rebuild lives with the people you love. To continue pushing through the darker moments of life – no matter how thick the fog\, I’ll be your lantern”. The band’s range of inspiration pulls from the short stories of Raymond Carver\, the paintings of Amy Bennet\, the poetry of Derrick C. Brown\, and the sound of The Weakerthans\, Hop Along\, and the Mountain Goats. \nThe album shines light on the struggles of many young people today who dream of starting a family\, but fear bringing life into a world of uncertainty and desolation. Niko describes that “it’s about trying not to lose who you are as an individual as the pressures of love and adulthood mount\, but also about trying to keep your loved ones safe”. As the album’s production developed\, this idea stemmed into themes that center around the inevitable responsibility of guiding the next generation with love and compassion in an increasingly dividing society. “Chainsaw” for example is a love song that draws deep inspiration from the imagery of the classic horror movie The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. \nScarves teamed up with producer Chris Walla to record Strays Forever at the renowned Hall of Justice Studios in Seattle. Stathakopoulos recalled\, “working with Walla was a dream come true. He’s just the warmest and most imaginative producer. He’s like Willy Wonka with his wild suggestions that always work out”. During the recording process\, the band was welcome to break creative boundaries in their song writing and instrumentation. They experimented with vintage tape machines to warble recorded tracks into luscious soundscapes and layered in string and flute arrangements to bring a cinematic touch to their music.

SUMMARY:May Erlewine with Packy Lundholm / R.O. Shapiro
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, March 6th\, 2026 \n$22 Advance // $28 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nMAY ERLEWINE WITH PACKY LUNDHOLM \nOne of the Midwest’s most prolific and passionate songwriters\, May Erlewine has a gift for writing songs of substance that feel both fresh and soulfully familiar. Her ability to emotionally engage with an audience has earned her a dedicated following far beyond her Michigan roots. This year\, May is teaming up with Chicago guitar wizard\, Packy Lundholm. The heart forward power duo will be offering their music in the name of love\, service and rock & roll. \nR.O. SHAPIRO \nR.O. (Raphael Odell) Shapiro is a purveyor of original Americana music\, carefully crafted and soulfully sung. He was born in Brooklyn\, NY and grew up in Sag Harbor\, an old whaling town at the very eastern end of Long Island. He started performing at an early age\, first with dance and then musical theater\, before picking up guitar at the end of high school. He attended Yale University\, still focusing on theater\, but spent a lot of his evenings singing with a cappella groups\, a rock band\, and a choral folk ensemble called Tangled Up In Blue\, or TUIB. After graduating he moved to New York City to pursue acting\, but also started picking up some small venue gigs. When he realized that he was more excited about playing dive bars than Broadway\, he packed up and headed out west to California to team up with fellow TUIB alum\, Jenner Fox\, forming the band Odell Fox. They started touring almost immediately\, cultivating an energetic and intimate live show experience that R.O. has continued to build upon as a solo artist. They moved to Austin\, TX\, where they released two records\, the “Moon Shiner EP\,” in 2016\, and “Thank You\,” in 2017. When the band parted ways at the end of 2017\, R.O. stayed in Austin\, gigging regularly in the hallowed venues of that world famous music scene. It was then he developed the full-band\, electrified sound that you can hear on 2021’s “King Electric Sessions\,” his first release since leaving Odell Fox. In recent years he has typically played solo\, touring regularly in the Northeast\, California\, and Pacific Northwest including Alaska and Vancouver Island. R.O. has drawn comparisons to Ray LaMontagne\, Josh Ritter\, and Nathaniel Rateliff. He is a winner of the 2022 Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk songwriting contest\, and recently recorded with producer/instrumentalist Phil Cook (Bon Iver\, Hiss Golden Messenger.) He is currently based in Northern California\, and always on the lookout for new communities and stages where he can share his authentic warmth and wit.

SUMMARY:An Intimate Evening with Margo Cilker / Clara Baker
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, February 28th\, 2026 \n$25 Advance // $30 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nMARGO CILKER \nMargo Cilker’s sophomore album\, Valley of Heart’s Delight\, refers to a place she can’t return: California’s Santa Clara Valley\, as it was known before the orchards were paved over and became more famous for Silicon than apricots. In this 11-song follow-up to 2021’s critically acclaimed Pohorylle\, family and nature intertwine as guiding motifs\, at once precious and endangered\, beautiful and exhausting. Cilker and Pohorylle producer Sera Cahoone brought most of that record’s highly-acclaimed crew (studio players for The Decemberists\, Band Of Horses\, and Beirut) back to the studio with additional contributions from acclaimed Northwest traditionalist Caleb Klauder. Valley of Heart’s Delight\, Cilker’s second record on Portland\, Oregon label Fluff & Gravy Records\, has already racked up an impressive list of accolades and year-end picks and has paved the way for 2024’s extensive touring and festival appearances. \nMargo Cilker lives near the Columbia River in Goldendale\, Washington with her husband\, songwriter and working cowboy Forrest VanTuyl\, as well their dog and some horses. \nCLARA BAKER \nClara Baker is a celebrated producer\, songwriter\, multi-instrumentalist\, and audio engineer from Portland\, OR. \nClara was raised in a musical household and started taking music lessons and writing songs at a young age. Her music has lead her to record several albums solo and with bands and tour all over the US and abroad. Clara’s 2019 release\, Things To Burn\, was recorded live to tape in a Wisconsin living room with Grammy-winning engineer Brian Joseph (Sufjan Stevens\, Bon Iver) and avant-folk experimentalist Shane Leonard (Anna Tivel\, Josh Ritter). Atwood Magazine called it “soul-stirring”\, and East Portland Blog called it a “must-hear… one of the best albums of 2019.” \nThe process of recording Things To Burn inspired Clara to go back to school and become an audio engineer. It was there she learned that less than 5% of producers and engineers are women. Determined to change this\, she has been working in studios as a producer and audio engineer ever since. Her swift accomplishments in her field earned her an invitation to become a voting member of the Recording Academy. \nIn addition to writing songs and producing\, recording and mixing for artists\, Clara also composes music for film and TV and has had placements on Netflix\, The CW\, Tubi and more. \nClara is an adjunct faculty member in songwriting at Lewis and Clark College in Portland. She also tours occasionally on fiddle\, guitar\, and vocals\, most recently with Margo Cilker\, An American Forrest and others

SUMMARY:Glitterfox / The Men's Den at Trout Lake Hall **SOLD OUT**
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, February 7th\, 2026 \n$27 Advance // $30 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nGLITTERFOX \nGlitterfox doesn’t chase the algorithm — they follow instinct\, community\, and a kind of magia (Basque for magic). Formed by longtime creative partners Solange Igoa and Andrea Walker\, the Portland-based band has built their career the analog way: a van\, a map\, and unforgettable shows stitched across towns like constellations. Their rise has been defined by raw connection and fearless self-expression\, with music that fuses garage rock grit\, new wave shimmer\, southern Americana soul\, and a dancefloor pulse — all tangled with heart and heat until what emerges is unmistakably\, inimitably Glitterfox. \nNow joined by Eric Stalker and Blaine Heinonen\, Glitterfox is more than a band — they’re chosen family\, held together by sound and the invisible threads that music always knows how to weave. Whether launching Portland’s annual Glitterfest as a wedding reception or channeling the messy middle of life into something unforgettable\, Glitterfox’s gift is their transparency\, their defiance\, and their freedom — sung loud. \nTHE MEN’S DEN“Under a blanket of midnight innocence. Two lonely Cowboys shared more than a bed. They shared a moment dreams are made of that would spark a bond that would forever change them. That moment is what we now know as the Mens Den origin story. And these are their tales together\, in song.” – Unknown source

MUDDY SOULS\nBorn in the belly of Eugene\, Oregon\, The Muddy Souls are a progressive bluegrass band emerging from the Pacific Northwest. Formed in 2018\, the band has produced four original albums and played over 300 shows across the US\, Canada Europe\, and beyond. They ground themselves firmly in the bluegrass traditions of driving fiddle tunes\, layered harmonies\, and single mics\, all the while weaving in inspiration and originality gleaned from genres far and wide. You can expect to hear a Stanley Brothers number right alongside a stirring original or a rollicking rock cover done in Skillethead’s own unique fashion. The spectrum reaches far and wide\, the bluegrass universe is expanding\, and Skillethead is on that ride! \nThe brain child of late night jams and carrot picking daydreams\, Skillethead was christened in the spring of 2019 by friends and longtime musical revelers Joe Schulte\, Benji Nagel\, and Garrett Miller. “I do believe we should start a band” someone said\, and thus it was so. With the additions of bass/vocal powerhouse Aaron Moore and fiddle maestro Casey Willis\, Skillethead is now a bona fide tour-de-force bluegrass machine. \nSkillethead is…\nBenji Nagel – Dobro\, Guitar\, Vocals\nJoe Schulte – Mandolin\, Guitar\, Vocals\nAaron Moore – Bass\, Vocals\nGarrett Miller – Banjo\, Guitar\, Vocals\nCasey Willis – Fiddle\, Mandolin

SUMMARY:David Ramirez / Sharon Silva
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, February 5th\, 2026 \n$19 Advance // $23 Day Of Show6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nDAVID RAMIREZDavid Ramirez took a little time to get back to himself\, and now he’s dead set on making music for himself—for the sake of the music\, and nothing else. “I love all the records I’ve made in the past\,” says Ramirez. “But in making them\, there was always the thought in the back of my mind of where and what it could get me. I made both creative and business decisions with a goal in mind; a goal that often never came. This time it was all about just the joy of making it\, about having fun with it.” \nThe Austin\, TX-based singer-songwriter—whose career has seen six full-length studio albums\, three EPs\, countless collaborations\, and an illustrious supergroup project in Glorietta—spent a season of rest away from his focus on writing songs. In the wake of the end of a long relationship\, he wanted to prioritize processing his grief as a human\, not as an artist bleeding onto the page. \n“The last thing I wanted was to write a heartbreak record. So I stopped writing altogether\, and I just waited until I saw my heart start coming back to life. I wanted the next thing to be hopeful and sweet and beautiful—a testament to music and my love for it.” \nRamirez’s new record\, All the Not So Gentle Reminders\, is exactly what he was waiting for. The 12-song album is an expansive succession of dreamlike songs that in deed tell his stories—but more than anything\, lean into the possibilities of the trip that music can take us on.“I’ve been a songwriter for a long time. I love words and stories. But this was about music. I wanted the long musical intros and outros [as heard on “Dirty Martini\,” “Twin Sized Beds\,” “A Bigger World\,” and “Dreams Come True”] to contribute to the stories and be a part of them.” \nThe lead track\, “Maybe It Was All a Dream\,” sets this theme of the ethereal and dreamy from the outset. It’s a three-and-a-half-minute musical tour de force—at first\, a simple synth line over a subdued drum machine\, that eventually morphs into a grandiose rollick of organ\, drum rolls\, and electric guitars. All the while\, staticky\, broken voices repeat the almost-haunting coda that gives the record its name. In the end\, this “dream” is interrupted and punctuated by a recording of Ramirez’s own mother saying\, “David…David… it’s time to get up.” \nIn “Deja Voodoo\,” Ramirez questions his own memory\, wondering if he remembers his life as it really was\, or if even the past itself is a dream colored by time and distance. He sings\, “Maybe it was in another life. Maybe it was just a dream. Was it a memory passed down from another? A cosmic sunflare? Or just deja vu?” It’s easy to wonder whether the not-so-gentle reminders are themselves facts\, or just figments of our imagination—something to be trusted or something to move on from and reclaim our lives. \nThe songs for the album were written during a writing getaway David went on for two weeks\, where he holed up at Standard Deluxe—a music venue and art space in the tiny 100-person town of Waverly\, Alabama. His goal was to get out of the noise of Austin fora while\, to be alone\, to get back to writing with the “uninterrupted silence [he had] been missing.” \nAll the Not So Gentle Reminders was recorded at Spectra Studios in Cedar Park\, TX just outside of Austin\, engineered by Charlie Kramsky at the helm. He tapped local staples as the house musicians for the sessions\, including Barbara Frigiere\, Jeff Olson\, James Westley Essary\, and Christopher Boosahda (who also helped to produce the album alongside Ramirez). And in the spirit of the exuberance and joy of the recording\, he also called upon a handful of friends to contribute and sing background vocals throughout the album. \n“It made sense to bring in this group as we were so tight musically and relationally from touring together the last few years. Like all my albums before this I never want to repeat what I’ve previously made. This was no exception. I brought in Boosahda to co-produce because I had never tried my hand at the captain’s wheel\, and I wanted someone experienced and with a different musical background than me to bring some extra shine.” \nThroughout the album\, David tackles memory and dreams\, fleeting romance\, the possibility of something better ahead\, and his own deep appreciation for music and his place in making it. The fact that he considered giving it up altogether—a decision he thankfully didn’t follow through with—All the Not So Gentle Reminders only serves to be that much more impactful as a testament to music and its power. \nMost pointedly in “Music Man\,” he recalls his own turning point as a boy\, listening on a Walkman his father gave him… a fateful turn that led him to where he is today. “So take a look at me now. I’m quite the music man. Take a look at the crowd. We’re all here for the music\, man. It’s the music\, man.” On what is his most ambitious\, lush\, and exuberant record to date\, David is leaning in full-hearted to who he knows he is at his core—and not letting anything else stand in his way. \n“I will always be me. I’ve seen enough of the business to know that chasing its praises will only land me in a world of disappointment and self-doubt. I’m wholly back in my chi and\, fingers crossed\, have the strength to stay.” \nSHARON SILVASharon Silva is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter known for her emotionally resonant lyrics and powerful\, expressive voice. As a founding member of the indie-folk band The Wild Reeds\, Silva helped shape their signature harmony-driven sound before stepping into her solo career. Her music blends indie rock\, folk\, and Americana\, often exploring themes of grief\, personal growth\, and the complexity of relationships. She has shared the stage with The Lone Bellow\, Dylan LeBlanc and Damien Jurado\, and has released a series of lyrically rich\, anthemic singles—such as “People to Please\,” “Monogamy\,” and “Hold It Down”—that showcase her ability to balance sensitivity with strength. \nHer debut album\, “Underachiever” is out October 24th and includes contributions from Christian Lee Hutson\, Al Menne (Great Grandpa)\, and Harrison Whitford (Phoebe Bridgers).

No matter who might be on the stage\, you are guaranteed to groove. \nCHICKEN $#!T GAMBLERS\nMysterious and uncool\, the Chicken $#!t Gamblers\nreject conformity and curb appeal in favor of ludicrousness and frivolity. Armed only with stringed instruments\, internal metronomes and a thesaurus\, the unhinged and raunchy gang of miscreants spread\, weird\, pseudo-traditional\, originally crafted bluegrass tunes\, with a dash of old-timey gospel\, vintage Shakedown Street vibes\, country sass and deep\, $#!t-yer-pants intergalactic improvisation. No genre is safe from their reign of audacity. Biologically grown\, woodshed cultivated\, scientifically inspired\, emotionally attached\, filthy and kind bluegrass inspired stuffing for your soundholes. \nBAND OF COMERADOS\nRyan McMahon – Mandolin\, Vocals\nDevon James – Guitar\, Vocals\nKyle Donaldson – Guitar\, Vocals\nJeffrey Leppert – Upright Bass \nJam/Grass/Folk from Portland\, OR \n“It’s rare to find an album these days that fits every occasion\, but Grass Half Full is exactly that. Equal parts intimate and expansive\, Band of Comerados delivers a timeless work that expertly rides the line between\nwistful nostalgia for what was and unflinching optimism for what is. \nSeamlessly transitioning between songwriting styles throughout the hour long offering\, Grass Half Full is the band’s most true album to date. Faithful fans will be rewarded with a collection of songs that capture BoC’s live energy\, and new devotees will be captured by their charm and surprised at the places this band takes them.” – Chris Couch \nSince 2015 and extending far into the future\, Band of Comerados plays music that makes you feel good. Call it bluegrass\, jamgrass\, folk\, or indie\, what sets the band apart is their intricate instrumentation\, dual vocal parts\, intense improvisational jams\, and the fact that these guys have so much damn fun when they’re playing live music! \nIn between traveling up and down the west coast in 2022\, BoC managed record two albums. Grass Half Full is the newest full length album\, containing 11 songs. These road tested tunes were captured perfectly at Jackpot! Studio in SE Portland. The album was released in June 2023. With Friends Like These included a bevy of Portland’s finest musicians helping create ambitious\, full-band EP that was released on Halloween 2022\, and follows previous releases Kindsight (2020)\, Trial & Error (2019)\, and Tomorrow is Today (2017). \nFrom their inception around campfire jams\, Band of Comerados has come a long way. Earning their stripes at dive bars\, breweries\, block parties\, and house concerts in their hometown of Portland\, Oregon\, the band began to get a foothold in some of the city’s finest venues\, like Laurelthirst\, White Eagle\, Goodfoot\, Aladdin Theatre\, Wonder Ballroom\, Mississippi Studios\, The Get Down and more. Expanding their fanbase\, they traveled up and down the west coast from Southern California to Northern Washington\, and east through Idaho\, Utah\, and Arizona. Festival appearances include What the Festival!?\, Beltane Music Festival\, 4 Peaks Music Festival\, Northwest String Summit\, Gem & Jam\, Homegrown Gorge and others.
