SUMMARY:Wasco County Historical Society's Annual Meeting Announcement -2026
DESCRIPTION: Wasco County Historical Society invites the public to its Annual Membership Meeting at noon\, Saturday Nov. 7th\, in the cafeteria at the Wahtonka campus. (Doors open at 11:30.) \nThe program will feature the School Museum\, located within that building\, which has evolved under the skilled guidance and energy of Director Rymmel Lovell\, volunteers\, and donors.  This is an ongoing project\, appreciated by its visitors\, and a credit to its director and volunteers! \nThe lunch will be prepared by Cherry City Catering at a cost of $25.  As it is being prepared out-of-the-building\, it is extremely important that you RSVP by Friday\, Oct. 30th.  Please direct your RSVP to janl@mosierwifi.com or (c) 541-978-8013. \nAnnual Membership dues will be collected for the coming year (from the fall of the current year to the fall of the following year).  Dues are $25 for an Individual\, $35 for a Family\, $50 for a Sustaining or Business Level\, and $100 for a Patron membership.  We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. \nIf you cannot attend the Nov. 7th meeting\, you may mail your dues to: WCHS\, 300 W. 13th St.\, The Dalles\, OR 97058 in care of our treasurer\, Gayle Hammitt.  Please include your contact information: name\, phone number\, mailing and email addresses. \nAt this meeting\, WCHS President Jill Durow will share the organization’s highlights from the previous year.  We can extend our afternoon celebration to include Wasco County\, its schools in particular\, and the 250th anniversary of the founding of our country.  We are looking forward to seeing you on the 7th! \n  \nThe Wasco County Historical Society promotes appreciation of our local heritage by maintaining the 1850 Moody/Rorick Museum House for the public and by preserving and disseminating historical information about our county’s people\, places\, and events.
