SUMMARY:Laura Veirs / Karl Blau
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, October 22nd\, 2026 \n$25 Advance // $30 Day ofDoors 6pm / Music 7pmAll Ages \nLAURA VEIRS \nPortland\, OR-based singer-songwriter Laura Veirs has forged a career singing personal songs of romantic intoxication\, everyday vignettes\, and social commentary that are often heavy on introspection and intense character scrutiny. She is fascinated with the intersection of poetry and science and explores this in her lyrics. \nWhile ‘Found Light’ is technically the 12th studio LP from the esteemed Portland\, OR-based artist\, it also\, in many ways\, feels like her debut: ‘Found Light’ is her very first record with co-production credits (alongside Shahzad Ismaily)\, and finds Veirs embracing a self-sovereignty and artistic independence she’d never known previously. \nIf 2020’s My Echo was Veirs’ divorce album\, Found Light is about what comes after.

SUMMARY:The Power of Guided Meditation
DESCRIPTION:There are many ways to meditate. While it is an oversimplification to talk in terms of “Eastern” and “Western” Meditation\, that is a useful division. Eastern could be thought of as “emptying the mind.” Western could be thought of as “leading the mind\,” or guided meditation. In our culture\, it is difficult to empty the mind. Often times\, people get discouraged and give up on meditation because they are unable to “empty the mind.” \nThe purpose of this Seminar is to share guided meditations that have proven useful to many in our Western culture. In a sense\, this is an introduction to tools. Join us and find if some of these tools are useful for you. Know that “Eastern” and “Western” methods can be combined. So even if you have a method that works for you\, this Seminar offers tools that can enhance what you have already discovered. \nThis seminar will include the didgeridoo. As a Mystic\, Gale specializes in playing the didgeridoo in ways that promote change. This is not a concert or musical performance but an experience. \nThe didgeridoo has the power to get energy moving\, especially when it is played with intention and focus. That is exactly what Gale will do\, and blocked energy can start to flow. \nIn addition to playing the sounds that fit the group\, Gale will play individual sounds that are needed in the moment. This can bring unexpected and surprising results. All that is necessary is for you to show up! \nThis meditation is lead by Gale Gray and if you would like to pre-register you can email arwen dot ungar at gmail.com \n

SUMMARY:Olive Klug / Frail Talk
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS RELEASE FRIDAY\, JULY 31 at 9am! \nFriday\, October 23\, 2026 \n$25 Advance // $30 Day of6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nOLIVE KLUG \nOriginally on a career path towards social work\, Olive Klug utilizes their gifts for singing and storytelling as a means to accomplish lifelong goals of inspiring emotional catharsis and social change in their audiences. Influenced by artists from Joni Mitchell to Kimya Dawson\, Olive’s unfiltered vulnerability is at the forefront of every song. Whether they’re discussing the complexities of the country’s politics or of grieving a relationship\, their music conveys this sense of very outwardly figuring things out\, which is what gives their music such a sense of communion. They’re letting you in on the fact that they’re going through it too\, and they don’t shy away from discussing the awkwardness. \nFRAIL TALK \nFormed in the foothills of Northern Colorado\, Frail Talk creates a blooming universe of squiggly indie music for squiggly people. Like the kind surprise of a backyard garden\, their songs spring up from the dirt with folk roots\, soft pop colors\, and burgeoning lyricism ready to welcome every listener with daydream-love.

SUMMARY:FAHRENHEIT 451 Theater
DESCRIPTION:Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature at which paper catches fire. \nGuy Montag has spent ten years as a fireman\, and in his world that means setting the blazes rather than putting them out. Books are the fuel. It’s steady work and an easy life\, and lately it has started to feel like no life at all — a numbness Montag can’t quite name until he meets Clarisse\, a neighbor who’s full of odd questions and stranger ideas. What she stirs up in him turns dangerous fast. Montag has to choose: keep drifting through an existence that barely qualifies as one\, or risk everything for the right to think for himself. \nRay Bradbury adapted his own 1953 novel for the stage\, and this October\, director Lowry Browning brings it to CCA’s black box theater. Seventy years on\, this story still lands with unsettling force. \n“An incredibly relevant and prophetic adaptation of a classic novel.” — David Longford\, The Royal Company\, Nottingham\, England. \nDoors open a half hour before the show. \nOn stage: OCT 9-25\nFridays and Saturdays at 7 PM\nSundays at 2 PM \nGeneral Admission: $23\nStudent (≤18) and Senior (65+): $21 \nGET TICKETS
