SUMMARY:2025 Gorge Grown Harvest Dinner
DESCRIPTION:The Harvest Dinner is Gorge Grown Food Network’s only fundraising event. This feast gathers community members\, local food supporters\, farmers\, chefs\, businesses and organizational partners to celebrate the bounty in the heart of the Hood River Valley at Mt. View Orchards. Guests will enjoy delicious courses prepared by Executive Chef Ben Stenn of Celilo Restaurant & Bar. \nThe evening will begin with a delightful cocktail hour at 4:00 featuring appetizers and amazing locally-crafted beer\, cider\, non-alcoholic beverages and live music. \nDinner will begin at 5:00 and highlight dazzling seasonal produce and savory local meat raised right here in the Gorge\, served family style with an assortment of preparations including vegetarian courses. Wine tastings will be served with each course. Featured wineries include: Grateful Vineyard\, Hood Crest Winery\, Ridge of Wonders Wine and Willow Wines. \nGather your friends and family for a wonderful evening together. Tables will seat up to 6 people. An open pole barn covers this venue. The evening will be lovely rain or shine. \nAll proceeds from this event will benefit Gorge Grown Food Network. Our mission: to build a resilient and inclusive regional food system that improves the health and well-being of our community. Gorge Grown is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local farmers\, ensuring access to healthy food for everyone\, and growing a strong food system in the rural Columbia River Gorge in Oregon and Washington. SUMMARY:Transitions : An Autumn Equinox Dance
DESCRIPTION:Autumn Equinox is always a time for recognizing transitions as well as the places of balance in our lives. \nAs harvest is so visible here in The Gorge\, gleaning is on the mind. \nHow shall we store & celebrate the fruits of our years? \nHow shall we grieve the lost crops & dreams that didn’t thrive? \nWhat are we taking with us into the next season of life? \nWhat are we leaving in the field of the past for composting? \nWhat transitions are we resisting in this time of equal parts light & dark? \nFrom individual transitions in our commUNITY to the shifts of our shared world… we will move together on this seasonal holy day to pause & appreciate that we are all here\, now – Together. \nWe will dance a Wave\, explore a Stillness Circle Ritual supported by live drummers and feel the turning of the 5Rhythms® Medicine Mandala as we collectively move from Stillness slowly into the next Flowing movement in our lives. \nThis emergent experience is a dedication to our commUNITY that was brought together by this beloved practice and our dear Sara’s commitment to holding this space. \nTRANSITIONSa 5Rhythms® Autumn Equinox Dance \nFriday September 19\, 20257-9pm$22Space is limited. \nRegistration ⬇️https://www.wyldlee.com/transitions

SUMMARY:Book of Will
DESCRIPTION:What if half of Shakespeare’s plays had been lost forever? Columbia Center for the Arts invites audiences to find out in The Book of Will\, a witty and heartwarming historical drama by Lauren Gunderson\, opening September 12 in Hood River. \nDirected by seasoned theater veteran Tom Burns\, The Book of Will tells the remarkable (and mostly true) story of Henry Condell and John Heminges\, two of Shakespeare’s longtime friends and fellow actors who — after the Bard’s death — took it upon themselves to collect and preserve his plays in what became the famous First Folio. Without their determination\, classics like Twelfth Night and Macbeth might never have survived. \nFeaturing an ensemble cast including David Dye\, Erik Lundby\, Emily Joyce\, Emily Vawter\, William Thayer-Daugherty\, Ben Sheppard\, Bob Fox\, Dawn Rankin\, Davis Macintosh\, and Sam Harrigan\, the production promises both humor and heart\, offering a fresh perspective on the legacy of one of the world’s greatest playwrights. \nPerformance Dates: \n\n\nFriday\, September 12 – 7:30 PM \n\n\nSaturday\, September 13 – 7:30 PM \n\n\nSunday\, September 14 – 2:00 PM (matinee) \n\n\nFriday\, September 20 – 7:30 PM \n\n\nSaturday\, September 21 – 7:30 PM \n\nSunday\, September 22 – 2:00 PM\n\nFriday\, September 26 – 7:30 PM \n\n\nSaturday\, September 27 – 7:30 PM \n\n\nLocation: Columbia Arts\, 215 Cascade Ave\, Hood River\, OR 97031 \nTickets and more information are available at: https://events.humanitix.com/copy-of-the-book-of-will-by-lauren-gunderson
