SUMMARY:FAHRENHEIT 451 movie
DESCRIPTION:Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature at which paper catches fire. \nGuy Montag has spent ten years as a fireman\, and in his world that means setting the blazes rather than putting them out. Books are the fuel. It’s steady work and an easy life\, and lately it has started to feel like no life at all — a numbness Montag can’t quite name until he meets Clarisse\, a neighbor who’s full of odd questions and stranger ideas. What she stirs up in him turns dangerous fast. Montag has to choose: keep drifting through an existence that barely qualifies as one\, or risk everything for the right to think for himself. \nRay Bradbury adapted his own 1953 novel for the stage\, and this October\, director Lowry Browning brings it to CCA’s black box theater. Seventy years on\, this story still lands with unsettling force. \n“An incredibly relevant and prophetic adaptation of a classic novel.” — David Longford\, The Royal Company\, Nottingham\, England. \nDoors open a half hour before the show. \nOn stage: OCT 9-25\nFridays and Saturdays at 7 PM\nSundays at 2 PM \nGeneral Admission: $23\nStudent (≤18) and Senior (65+): $21 \nGET TICKETS

SUMMARY:Olive Klug / Frail Talk
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS RELEASE FRIDAY\, JULY 31 at 9am! \nFriday\, October 23\, 2026 \n$25 Advance // $30 Day of6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nOLIVE KLUG \nOriginally on a career path towards social work\, Olive Klug utilizes their gifts for singing and storytelling as a means to accomplish lifelong goals of inspiring emotional catharsis and social change in their audiences. Influenced by artists from Joni Mitchell to Kimya Dawson\, Olive’s unfiltered vulnerability is at the forefront of every song. Whether they’re discussing the complexities of the country’s politics or of grieving a relationship\, their music conveys this sense of very outwardly figuring things out\, which is what gives their music such a sense of communion. They’re letting you in on the fact that they’re going through it too\, and they don’t shy away from discussing the awkwardness. \nFRAIL TALK \nFormed in the foothills of Northern Colorado\, Frail Talk creates a blooming universe of squiggly indie music for squiggly people. Like the kind surprise of a backyard garden\, their songs spring up from the dirt with folk roots\, soft pop colors\, and burgeoning lyricism ready to welcome every listener with daydream-love.

SUMMARY:TGR Presents: Actually\, It Is Rocket Science hosted by LDT Wines
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, November 5th\, 2026 \n$15 Advance // $15 Day Of Show **Limited Tickets**6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages \nTGR Presents: Actually\, It Is Rocket Science \nThere’s no formula for reading a couloir. No equation for stomping a cliff clean. No textbook for knowing exactly when to commit. \nOr maybe there is. \nIt’s worked out in real time—at 60 miles an hour\, in changing conditions\, with the terrain unfolding beneath your skis and everything on the line. \nFor our 31st annual ski film\, we took that idea literally. Actually\, It Is Rocket Science turns the mountain into a laboratory and the world’s best skiers into its scientists\, testing the limits of speed\, precision\, creativity\, and commitment across some of the most consequential terrain on the planet. \nThe result is a film about the calculations that happen before the drop\, the instincts that take over once you’re in it\, and the thin margin between an idea and a line actually working.

SUMMARY:Timewinder Tales - From the Glacier to the Gorge: 100 Years of Crag Rat Lore
DESCRIPTION:The History Museum of Hood River County is proud to announce its upcoming production of Timewinder Tales – From the Glacier to the Gorge: 100 Years of Crag Rats Lore. Celebrating the centennial legacy of the oldest continuously operating volunteer mountain search-and-rescue team in the United States\, this production highlights the foundational values that have anchored the Crag Rats since 1926: family legacy\, teamwork\, and an ethos of volunteer public service. \nThe performance features local actor Todd Dierker alongside active Crag Rats members Lisa Rust\, Walter Burkhardt\, and James Holloway\, bridging the gap between dramatic storytelling and first-hand operational memory.  The cast will share harrowing search-and-rescue accounts\, lighthearted stories\, and pivotal organizational milestones\, from technological revolutions in gear and communications to the vital inclusion of women in the ranks. \n“The Crag Rats represent an extraordinary chapter in Pacific Northwest history—ordinary neighbors doing extraordinary things on the glaciers of Mt. Hood for an entire century\,” said Lisa Commander\, Executive Director of The History Museum of Hood River County. “We hope to connect audiences with the grit\, humor\, and community spirit that keep this tradition alive.” \nTimewinder Tales (formerly Cemetery Tales) has been an important fundraiser for The History Museum since 2009.  We appreciate your support and look forward to sharing the stories of Crag Rats members with our community.  Join us before the show for appetizers and drinks from The Ruins bar; doors open at 6pm on Thursday and 1pm on Sunday. \n  \nEvent Details:\n\nDates & Times: Thursday\, November 5 at 7pm & Sunday\, November 8 at 2pm.  Doors open one hour prior to the showtimes.\nLocation: The Ruins\, 13 Railroad Street\, Hood River\nTickets: $30 for general admission\, $25 for museum members\, or $10 for ages 18 and under\nTicket Purchases & Information: Visit www.hoodriverhistorymuseum.org or call 541.386.6772\nSeating is limited. Advance ticket purchase is encouraged.\n\n### \nABOUT THE HISTORY MUSEUM OF HOOD RIVER COUNTY\nThe History Museum is a vibrant center for engaging all people in a better understanding of the community’s heritage that preserves the past\, relates it to the present and shapes our future.
