SUMMARY:Second Thursdays at the Grange: Garden Design and Mending Party
DESCRIPTION:A reminder that in 2026 we will be meeting on the second Thursdays of each month. Potluck 5:30-6:30\, then meetup and activity from 6:30 to 8pm. Our first gathering and activity will be on Thursday\, January 8th starting at 5:30pm. Please bring a dish to share. \nThe activity will be garden planning and possible bulk seed buying along with an option for mending sweaters\, socks\, and more. Planning: We’ll go over some basic considerations for regenerative and permaculture approaches to interplanting guilds for those interested in garden planning. Plus we’ll have some resources for those interested in companion planting. Let’s all bring our seed catalogs if we have them. If there is interest in buying seeds together\, we can explore bulk seed buying. We can also explore the possibility of each starting certain plants for each other and having a start swap later in the season. \nMENDING: We’ll have a basic range of darning and mending materials\, including needles\, spools of wool yarn\, some threads and patch cloths\, crochet hooks\, and more. Plus a copy of Erin Lewis-Fitzgerald’s Modern Mending: How to Minimize Waste and Maximize Style. \nGrange Members\, Prospective Members\, and Friends of the Grange welcome!

SUMMARY:Art Night! Art Swap!
DESCRIPTION:Join us once a month for a social evening of unguided art making. Participants will be encouraged to bring some supplies and a sketchbook to draw\, paint or doodle! We will provide paper\, pens and pencils and can provide prompts to get the creative juices flowing. \nHow this works is you can bring in used but clean usable arts and crafts supplies. This can be anything from paper\, paints\, brushes\, beads\, pencils etc. We will spread out the supplies on tables and people will be able to freely take what they’d like. This is meant to be a way for community members to redistribute art supplies to one another\, so if you don’t have supplies to bring that isn’t a problem feel free to come and see if there’s supplies you could use. \nWe will also have a station set up to create small spiral bound books out of unbound papers\, so if you have odds and ends of papers laying around that could be cut down and made into a small sketchbook feel free to bring that as well. \nDate: Wednesday January 7th \nTime: 6pm-8pm \nAge: 18+ \nCost: $5 \nLocation: Tokki Art Supply
