DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, June 11th\, 2026 \n$20 Advance // $25 Day Of Show\n6pm Doors / 7pm Show\nAll Ages \nTHE MONTVALES\nBorn and raised in Knoxville\, TN\, Sally Buice and Molly Rochelson of The Montvales spent much of their formative years busking amidst the Elvis impersonators and musical saw players of the town’s Market Square\, honing their uniquely boisterous harmonies and perfecting the art of people-watching. Some fifteen years later\, the two are still at it-maintaining their study of the robust chaos of the commons as they tour the country playing their descriptive\, textured songs on the self-described “feral outskirts of country music.”\nTheir lyrics tackle everything from heartbreak to gentrification to abortion rights\, pulling audiences in alongside their well-worn harmonies and nearly telepathic musical connection. \nIn 2020\, the Montvales recorded their first album Heartbreak Summer Camp in a living room. The stripped-down\, DIY folksongs span their young adulthood\, beginning in their teens and taking them through their mid 20s. Then\, seeking a more polished\, full-band sound\, the duo recorded their next album Born Strangers at Sean Sullivan’s Tractor Shed Studio in Goodlettsville\, TN\, recruiting Nashville stalwart Mike Eli LoPinto (guitarist for Chris Stapleton\, producer of Emily Nenni’s On the Ranch) to produce it.\nThe record garnered them a dedicated cult following and has been featured by outlets such as Holler\, American Songwriter\, Twangville\, and more. \nThe Montvales have gone on to share the stage with bands like Willy Tea Taylor and the Fellership\, The Local Honeys\, James McMurtry\, and Mama’s Broke\, and have appeared at festivals such as Healing Appalachia and the Old Quarter Songwriter Festival.\nIn 2025 they signed with Free Dirt Records to release the single “Loud and Clear”\, with a hint at more new music to come. \nCREEKBED CARTER HOGAN\n“There’s no fiction as strange as America’s current Dantean hellscape and Creekbed Carter’s the kind of artist to help us navigate it.” — Devon Leger\, Songlines Magazine \nThe music of Creekbed Carter Hogan (he/they) is a quiet act of defiance made at the end of your rope. It is the warm feeling of solidarity coursing through your body as you link arms with strangers. It is a hard-won laugh\, brittle but brave\, in the face of what hurt you the most. It is finding hope where there is none\, asking questions when you’re told to stay quiet\, demanding a future you believe in\, and facing a world hellbent on destruction with community\, enthusiasm\, and joy. \nArmed with compassion\, curiosity\, and a rollicking sense of humor\, Hogan has charmed audiences across the USA and the EU/UK\, honing their performance and craft as they’ve shared stages with other fan favorites like labelmate Nick Shoulders\, Emmylou Harris\, Big Richard\, Willi Carlisle\, and Olive Klug. In addition to being a musician\, Carter is also a fiction writer and educator\, and this triad of practices helps him ask better questions to learn better lessons. \nHogan’s songs have always achieved the rare feat of braiding the personal and the political as a means of bringing people together. Now\, with their second studio album PEASANTS REVOLT (out with Gar Hole Records in 2026)\, Hogan hones their trademark poetics and traditional fingerstyle to present a medieval-Americana manuscript of apocalypse and everyday survival. There is always more to learn\, and more work to do to get there; but whether it’s a 14th century riot of peasants\, a 20th century miner’s strike\, or our modern-day hell\, PEASANTS REVOLT was made to help us sing for our supper so we can reclaim a better world for ourselves.
