SUMMARY:The Power of Guided Meditation
DESCRIPTION:There are many ways to meditate. While it is an oversimplification to talk in terms of “Eastern” and “Western” Meditation\, that is a useful division. Eastern could be thought of as “emptying the mind.” Western could be thought of as “leading the mind\,” or guided meditation. In our culture\, it is difficult to empty the mind. Often times\, people get discouraged and give up on meditation because they are unable to “empty the mind.” \nThe purpose of this Seminar is to share guided meditations that have proven useful to many in our Western culture. In a sense\, this is an introduction to tools. Join us and find if some of these tools are useful for you. Know that “Eastern” and “Western” methods can be combined. So even if you have a method that works for you\, this Seminar offers tools that can enhance what you have already discovered. \nThis seminar will include the didgeridoo. As a Mystic\, Gale specializes in playing the didgeridoo in ways that promote change. This is not a concert or musical performance but an experience. \nThe didgeridoo has the power to get energy moving\, especially when it is played with intention and focus. That is exactly what Gale will do\, and blocked energy can start to flow. \nIn addition to playing the sounds that fit the group\, Gale will play individual sounds that are needed in the moment. This can bring unexpected and surprising results. All that is necessary is for you to show up! \nThis meditation is lead by Gale Gray and if you would like to pre-register you can email arwen dot ungar at gmail.com \n

SUMMARY:Spooky Speakeasy
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, October 29th\, 2026 \n$15 Advance // $20 Day of530pm Doors / 630pm ShowAll Ages \nSPOOKY SPEAKEASY \nThe beloved Gorge Speakeasy returns to Trout Lake for a haunting night of storytelling\, celebrating the strange\, spooky\, and wonderfully unexpected creativity that Halloween inspires in our little corner of the Gorge. \nJoin us for an evening of live storytelling featuring locals sharing the kind of tales that might happen on the river after dark\, along shadowy ridgelines\, down winding back roads\, and in the communities that make the Columbia River Gorge unlike anywhere else. \nCome watch from the audience—or summon your courage and sign up to share a story of your own on stage. We’ll bring all the usual magic of the Gorge Speakeasy north for a night of eerie encounters\, laughter\, surprises\, and connection with your neighbors. \nGather close. The stories are waiting. \nSign up to share your stories here: https://forms.gle/zbSRjopwhKi4x2pC8 \nThe Gorge Speakeasy is hosted by Angie Lake. Based in White Salmon\, Angie produces creative events and storytelling media for outdoorsy brands and women.
