DESCRIPTION:Get ready for four full days of treasure hunting during the Community-Wide Yard Sales\, happening June 25–28! This year’s event is under new ownership\, and we’re excited to introduce a few small changes designed to make the experience even better for both sellers and shoppers. \nFor the first time\, the sales will run two additional days (Four days total)\, giving buyers more time to explore and sellers more opportunities to connect with customers. To help maximize visibility\, sellers may choose to be included in the official yard sale map and address list\, which will be distributed both in print and digitally throughout the community. \nTo help cover the cost of printing\, materials\, and staff time required to coordinate this expanded event\, a minimal $5 participation fee will be introduced for sellers who wish to sign up. Seller registration will open on May 1st\, 2026. \nPrinted maps will be available for pick-up beginning June 23 at the Greater Goldendale Area Chamber of Commerce during all hours either through the office or through the Gazebo on the east end of the property\, as well as at select participating businesses around town. \nChamber members will also have the opportunity to purchase advertising space in the printed map to promote their business/happenings during one of the community’s busiest shopping weekends. \nWhether you’re selling\, shopping\, or just love the thrill of the hunt—this year’s Community-Wide Yard Sales promise more days\, more stops\, and more great finds than ever before!

DESCRIPTION:Radio Amateurs of the Gorge to Host Annual Field Day on June 27th \nPublic Invited to Watch Ham Radio Operators Connect with the World \nThe Radio Amateurs of the Gorge will hold their Annual Field Day on Saturday\, June 27th\, at the grounds behind the Rockford Grange and West Side Fire Station at 4262 Barrett Drive\, Hood River.  The public is warmly encouraged to stop by anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to see amateur radio operators — affectionately known as “hams” — in action. \nField Day is one of the most celebrated events on the amateur radio calendar\, bringing together licensed operators to demonstrate their ability to set up portable stations and make contact with fellow radio enthusiasts across the country and around the globe. Using nothing more than skill\, equipment\, and the power of radio waves\, participants will communicate with operators spanning continents and time zones throughout the day. \nVisitors of all ages are welcome to come out\, ask questions\, and see firsthand how this time-honored hobby works. Whether you’ve always been curious about ham radio or simply want to enjoy a community gathering\, there’s something for everyone. Members of the Radio Amateurs of the Gorge will be on hand to explain the technology\, share what drew them to the hobby\, and walk guests through what they’re seeing and hearing. \nNo registration or special knowledge is required to attend.
