Rinpoche has spent decades in meditation\, scholarship\, and spiritual leadership\, guiding students from around the world while overseeing monastic education and practice in the Himalayan region. \nThe visit will begin on Saturday\, July 25\, with a Chittamani Green Tara Empowerment\, a traditional Buddhist initiation connected to Tara\, one of the most beloved figures in Tibetan Buddhism. Known as the embodiment of compassion\, protection\, and enlightened activity\, Tara is often called upon by practitioners seeking courage\, wisdom\, and the ability to navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity. \nWhile the empowerment is rooted in an ancient spiritual tradition\, many participants are drawn to Tara practice because of its emphasis on compassion\, resilience\, and awakening the positive qualities already present within the human heart. \nThe following three days will focus on an introduction to Tummo\, often translated as “Inner Heat.” Tummo is one of the most renowned meditation systems of Tibetan Buddhism and has attracted international attention for its effects on concentration\, well-being\, and the body’s response to cold. \nFor centuries\, Himalayan yogis have practiced Tummo as a method for developing inner vitality\, mental stability\, and profound states of meditation. In recent decades\, scientific researchers have studied advanced practitioners and documented unusual abilities related to body temperature regulation and stress resilience.
