Toys and books are ok as long as they are small and in good condition (think….if you could sell it\, we will take it…otherwise please do not bring it). We accept donations from now until the end of the event. \nIf you have larger things to donate\, post them on this event and someone might want to take them! \nOn the day of the event\, you shop all of the donations and take home anything you want for free. This is an awesome way to reduce waste\, reduce spending\, and enjoy a free shopping spree with other families! \nKids are welcome at the event. DESCRIPTION:The History Museum of Hood River County is thrilled to present our newest exhibition\, La Quinceañera: Una Tradición Bonita\, opening with a reception on May 9 from 2:00 to 4:00pm. The exhibit explores the vibrant coming-of-age tradition through the personal stories and artifacts of past quinceañeras in the Columbia River Gorge. \nAttendees will have the first opportunity to view the collection\, which features symbolic items and traditional dresses ranging from the styles of the 1990s to the styles of today. The reception is free and open to all\, and refreshments will be provided. Following the reception\, the exhibit will remain on display until September 25\, 2026. \n# # # \nABOUT THE HISTORY MUSEUM OF HOOD RIVER COUNTY\nThe History Museum is a vibrant center for engaging all people in a better understanding of the community’s heritage that preserves the past\, relates it to the present and shapes our future.
