SUMMARY:Comedy Night at The Bingen!
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, September 12 – 7:30\nComedy Night at The Bingen\nQueerly Beloved with Liz Glazer \nRecommended 18+ \nThe lobby and bar open an hour before the show starts\, and the doors to the theater itself open a half hour before start time. Get here early to grab the seat you want! \nAt Queerly Beloved\, laughter is loud\, identities are proud\, and everyone’s invited. \nLiz Glazer\, a law professor turned award-winning comedian\, delivers smart\, heartfelt comedy with a punch. Arlo Weierhauser brings their signature dry wit and lovable charm\, while Brenden Creecy\, Portland’s favorite sad boy\, adds a dose of humor with heart. Hosting the evening is Rachelle Cochran\, one of Willamette Week’s Funniest Five\, ready to keep things running smoothly… and hilariously. \nThink of it as group therapy\, but funnier and with fewer boundaries. \n  \nLIZ GLAZER is an award-winning standup comedian\, actor\, and writer who used to be a tenured law professor\, a job she was very good at. Liz is the winner of both the Boston Comedy Festival and the Ladies of Laughter competition. She appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon\, opened for Myq Kaplan and Maria Bamford\, and was accepted to the 2021 HBO Women in Comedy Festival.Additionally\, Liz has appeared on For Life on ABC and Bull on CBS. Liz is also writing a television pilot about her life\, a draft of which was a semi-finalist in the Stage 32 writing competition. Liz has also been featured in a full article in the Wall Street Journal. You can catch Liz’s new special\, “Do You Know Who I’m Not” on YouTube. \nThese days Liz performs regularly at comedy clubs and festivals. Liz also does private events for law schools\, law firms\, synagogues\, and major corporations. \nARLO WEIERHAUSER is a comedian\, writer\, and actor. They were “Portland’s Funniest Person” in 2017\, performed at Just for Laughs Montreal 2018\, appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert\, and were in Disney’s “Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made”. Theycan also be seen in Epix Season 2 of “Unprotected Sets” and\, most recently\, in “Laugh It Forward” (2025). \nBRENDEN CREECY is Portland’s favorite sad boy. “Just a guy\, a geek\, a dreamer. Queer. Podcaster and stand-up comedian in PDX.” \nHost RACHELLE COCHRAN is a high-energy\, sharp-tongued\, and unapologetically queer comedian whose style blends big-hearted silliness with biting observational takes. Think: the quirky lesbian next door—if your neighbor also casually opened for Cameron Esposito once. She’s performed at Sketchfest\, the All Jane Comedy Festival\, and was one of Willamette Week’s Funniest Five 2025.

SUMMARY:Transitions : An Autumn Equinox Dance
DESCRIPTION:Autumn Equinox is always a time for recognizing transitions as well as the places of balance in our lives. \nAs harvest is so visible here in The Gorge\, gleaning is on the mind. \nHow shall we store & celebrate the fruits of our years? \nHow shall we grieve the lost crops & dreams that didn’t thrive? \nWhat are we taking with us into the next season of life? \nWhat are we leaving in the field of the past for composting? \nWhat transitions are we resisting in this time of equal parts light & dark? \nFrom individual transitions in our commUNITY to the shifts of our shared world… we will move together on this seasonal holy day to pause & appreciate that we are all here\, now – Together. \nWe will dance a Wave\, explore a Stillness Circle Ritual supported by live drummers and feel the turning of the 5Rhythms® Medicine Mandala as we collectively move from Stillness slowly into the next Flowing movement in our lives. \nThis emergent experience is a dedication to our commUNITY that was brought together by this beloved practice and our dear Sara’s commitment to holding this space. \nTRANSITIONSa 5Rhythms® Autumn Equinox Dance \nFriday September 19\, 20257-9pm$22Space is limited. \nRegistration ⬇️https://www.wyldlee.com/transitions

SUMMARY:Book of Will
DESCRIPTION:What if half of Shakespeare’s plays had been lost forever? Columbia Center for the Arts invites audiences to find out in The Book of Will\, a witty and heartwarming historical drama by Lauren Gunderson\, opening September 12 in Hood River. \nDirected by seasoned theater veteran Tom Burns\, The Book of Will tells the remarkable (and mostly true) story of Henry Condell and John Heminges\, two of Shakespeare’s longtime friends and fellow actors who — after the Bard’s death — took it upon themselves to collect and preserve his plays in what became the famous First Folio. Without their determination\, classics like Twelfth Night and Macbeth might never have survived. \nFeaturing an ensemble cast including David Dye\, Erik Lundby\, Emily Joyce\, Emily Vawter\, William Thayer-Daugherty\, Ben Sheppard\, Bob Fox\, Dawn Rankin\, Davis Macintosh\, and Sam Harrigan\, the production promises both humor and heart\, offering a fresh perspective on the legacy of one of the world’s greatest playwrights. \nPerformance Dates: \n\n\nFriday\, September 12 – 7:30 PM \n\n\nSaturday\, September 13 – 7:30 PM \n\n\nSunday\, September 14 – 2:00 PM (matinee) \n\n\nFriday\, September 20 – 7:30 PM \n\n\nSaturday\, September 21 – 7:30 PM \n\nSunday\, September 22 – 2:00 PM\n\nFriday\, September 26 – 7:30 PM \n\n\nSaturday\, September 27 – 7:30 PM \n\n\nLocation: Columbia Arts\, 215 Cascade Ave\, Hood River\, OR 97031 \nTickets and more information are available at: https://events.humanitix.com/copy-of-the-book-of-will-by-lauren-gunderson
