SUMMARY:Pumpkin Carving and Organic Cider Pressing Potluck for Grange Members/Friends & UU Members
DESCRIPTION:Bring your largest garden or farmer’s market pumpkin or squash\, your carving tools\, and your creative spirit. Some stencils available\, or craft an original! \nWe will help each other celebrate the deep harvest season and usher in this special time for honoring the turning of the wheel of the seasons. \nTowards the end of the evening\, we will share a spooky carved pumpkin “gallery walk.” We’ll provide lights for each carved pumpkin! \nThe Grange’s newest business member\, Tamiyasu Orchards\, will be setting up a cider press and pressing their organic apples. Cups provided on site but bring jugs to take cider home.\nhttps://www.tamiyasufruits.com/ \nBring the family\, invite a friend. \nAlso bring your wonderful potluck items to share. We’ll provide spiced warm apple cider to enjoy. \n(Note: Tools and pumpkins not provided by the Grange) \nParking: Please park beside the Grange in an East/West orientation. The Fire Department will be performing drills and all space behind the fire department. We will set out cones to mark off rows. \nThis private event is open to members and Friends of the Rockford Grange\, members of the Mid-Columbia Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and their friends and family. DESCRIPTION:Ready to turn your iPad into a portable art studio? In this introductory 2 day workshop\, hands-on mini course\, \nyou’ll dive into the world of digital painting using Procreate\, the powerful and intuitive app used \nby artists everywhere. \nIn just 4 hours total\, you’ll learn how to: \n• Navigate Procreate basics. Create and save new files\, manage file formats \n• Use layers\, brushes\, and color tools \n• Sketch\, ink\, and paint your own digital image \n• Export and share your art\, including time-lapse video recordings of your process \nNo experience is necessary—just bring your iPad\, the Procreate app\, and an open mind. You’ll \nleave with a basic understanding of digital art tools and one or two small projects you’ve created \nyourself. Students will work from the same reference photos of an apple and sunflowers. \niPad + Procreate required.
