DESCRIPTION:Join us at the museum for a lesson in paper folding! Learn how to make your very first crane or show off your skills will how quickly you can fold. \nVolunteers will be on hand to demonstrate how to make traditional Japanese paper cranes. The cranes will be donated to Hood River sister city\, Tsuruta\, Japan as part of a 2026 summer exchange program. Help us reach our goal of 1\,000 cranes! \nSuggested donation of $2.00 for supplies.\nEvent open to the public. No registration required.\nDates – October 8\, 11\, 15\, and 25. For the past 26 years\, I’ve called the Portland area home\, surrounded by the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest that continue to inspire me. \nMy work moves between sweeping vistas of the American West and the quiet details found in nature. Along the way\, my photographs have reached audiences worldwide through Getty Images and iStock\, with features by Porsche\, Forbes\, Smithsonian\, Avis\, the Port of Portland\, and many others. \nI work exclusively with Canon equipment and\, more recently\, DJI drones\, carefully refining each image to bring out its fullest expression.
