SUMMARY:True Loves / BendreTheGiant
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS RELEASE FRIDAY\, JULY 10 at 10am!Friday\, October 9th\, 2026\n$23 Advance // $30 Day of6pm Doors / 7pm ShowAll Ages\nTRUE LOVES\nThe Seattle-based\, original instrumental funk & soul group True Loves began in 2014 as a jam session between drummer David McGraw\, bassist Bryant Moore and guitarist Jimmy James\, and hassinced blossomed into a global force featuring percussionist Iván Galvez\, trombonist Greg Kramer\, and saxophonists Gordon Brown and Skerik. Together\, the group’s live performances and albums have garnered them much acclaim and millions of streams on YouTube.\nIn 2017\, True Loves recorded their debut instrumental album\, Famous Last Words\, receiving worldwide adulation. The band released their sophomore album\, Sunday Afternoon\, in 2021. 2024 saw the release of the single “Good Weed and Red Wine” featuring keyboardist Nigel Hall (Lettuce) followed by a second European tour. Another single\, “Dopus no. 1\,” was released as the B-side on a vinyl 7 inch. True Loves returned to Europe in the fall of 2025 and supported legendary band Ghost Note on their return to the US. The band is at work on their next album with US and European tours planned.\nBENDRETHEGIANT\nSwollen Eyes\, the debut album from BendreTheGiant\, offers a modern\, dynamic take on funk-infused R&B.Swollen Eyes\, out now via Tender Loving Empire Records\, is both a compelling declaration of artistic intent\, and a love letter to late nights\, early mornings\, and the hours we lose between them.\nBendreTheGiant is the vessel of Portland\, OR vocalist\, producer\, and multi-instrumentalist Ben Estrada\, whose towering presence and imaginative songwriting gave rise to the project’s name. Estrada began releasing music in 2020\, working largely alone until 2024\, when he expanded the project into a full band with longtime collaborator and keyboardist / vocalist Delos Erickson\, bassist / vocalist Eli Hansen\, drummer Nate Hansen\, saxophonist Ben Harris\, and guitarist Avery Scanlon.\nAt the heart of the BendreTheGiant’s music lies a reflective emotional core. “This is a record about loss\, picking up the pieces in the aftermath\, and sticking around for another year to see what happens\,” Estrada says. “Nothing is perfect and closure doesn’t really exist\, but there’s still a light at the end of the tunnel. If you fall in the dirt long enough\, eventually you’ll grow roots… and flowers will bloom.”

SUMMARY:FAHRENHEIT 451 movie
DESCRIPTION:Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature at which paper catches fire. \nGuy Montag has spent ten years as a fireman\, and in his world that means setting the blazes rather than putting them out. Books are the fuel. It’s steady work and an easy life\, and lately it has started to feel like no life at all — a numbness Montag can’t quite name until he meets Clarisse\, a neighbor who’s full of odd questions and stranger ideas. What she stirs up in him turns dangerous fast. Montag has to choose: keep drifting through an existence that barely qualifies as one\, or risk everything for the right to think for himself. \nRay Bradbury adapted his own 1953 novel for the stage\, and this October\, director Lowry Browning brings it to CCA’s black box theater. Seventy years on\, this story still lands with unsettling force. \n“An incredibly relevant and prophetic adaptation of a classic novel.” — David Longford\, The Royal Company\, Nottingham\, England. \nDoors open a half hour before the show. \nOn stage: OCT 9-25\nFridays and Saturdays at 7 PM\nSundays at 2 PM \nGeneral Admission: $23\nStudent (≤18) and Senior (65+): $21 \nGET TICKETS

SUMMARY:Live Theatre - The Man From Earth
DESCRIPTION:Big Britches Productions Presents \nJerome Bixby’s The Man From Earth \nAdapted by Richard Schenkman \nOctober 2 – 17 \n  \nThe Man From Earth is a gripping\, dialogue-driven science fiction drama from Jerome Bixby (writer for the original Star Trek and The Twilight Zone)\, completed on his deathbed as his final work. \nWhen history professor John Oldman abruptly resigns and prepares to leave town\, his colleagues impulsively gather for a farewell party\, and John\, pressed for an explanation\, reveals a secret he’s never told anyone: he may be over 14\,000 years old. What follows is a tense\, funny\, moving\, and occasionally shattering evening of debate\, disbelief\, and reckoning\, as friends who thought they knew each other are forced to confront questions about faith\, science\, mortality\, and love.
