Fifty\nyears later\, he returns to where it all began with a collection that reflects a lifetime devoted to creativity. From\nearly explorations to his bold contemporary work\, the exhibition highlights the growth of an artist whose\npaintings celebrate the beauty\, energy\, and spirit of the Columbia Gorge and beyond.\nKnown for his richly saturated colors and expressive compositions\, Nilsson transforms familiar landscapes into\njoyful\, luminous experiences. His work invites viewers to rediscover the places they know through a lens of\nwonder and imagination\, while also sharing scenes inspired by decades of travel and artistic exploration.\nTo celebrate the exhibition\, TDAC will host a free Opening Reception on Thursday\, October 8\, from 5:00–7:00 PM. These sessions provide a quiet\, respectful space to practice and sharpen your skills from a live model. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just getting started\, all are welcome to bring their materials and practice. \nAges 18+ only. No photography. Please arrive on time and maintain a professional\, quiet atmosphere throughout the session.
