Watercolor Basics: Portraits

Learn the basics of painting a portrait in watercolor. Instructor Janet will guide students through creating a value study to understand light and tones before moving onto full color.

Topics we will cover:

Value, light, and glazing to capture a more accurate representation of a portrait. Students will be taught how to mix skin tones using only the primaries, and create their own color chart. Students will be provided with paper, brushes, and watercolors. And will have the option to use premade linework or draw their own.

If you cannot attend a class, a 72 hour notice prior to the start of the class via email or phone is required for a full refund of the class fee. After that there is no refund.

Students will receive a confirmation email of the purchase of the class. And 3 days prior to the class they will receive a reminder email. Please keep a look out for these emails.
