Four couples arrive at the townhouse of a deputy New York City mayor and his wife to attend a party celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary. However, the four couples soon discover that there are no servants, the hostess is missing, and the deputy mayor appears to have shot himself in the head (it’s only a flesh wound). Comic complications arise when, given everyone’s upper-class (and often out of touch) status, they decide they need to do everything possible to conceal the evening’s events from the local police and the public. As the characters attempt to salvage the evening and prevent a scandal, the play takes the audience on a sidesplitting journey through misunderstandings and comedic mayhem, showcasing Neil Simon’s signature wit and humor.

While you are not required to be at both days of open auditions, it may give you an opportunity to try something you hadn’t before. If you are able, it is encouraged to come to both.
