There’s no formula for reading a couloir. No equation for stomping a cliff clean. No textbook for knowing exactly when to commit.

It’s worked out in real time—at 60 miles an hour, in changing conditions, with the terrain unfolding beneath your skis and everything on the line.

For our 31st annual ski film, we took that idea literally. Actually, It Is Rocket Science turns the mountain into a laboratory and the world’s best skiers into its scientists, testing the limits of speed, precision, creativity, and commitment across some of the most consequential terrain on the planet.

The result is a film about the calculations that happen before the drop, the instincts that take over once you’re in it, and the thin margin between an idea and a line actually working.
