The Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association Jazz Collective Big Band Presents
2026 Winter Season Performances
Winter can be cold and dark, but the Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association has a number of upcoming performances guaranteed to warm your heart and lift your spirits. Join us in celebrating the 20th anniversary season of CGOA!
The winter season of performances begins on Sunday, January 25 with the Annual Chamber Music Concert, taking place at 2 PM at Hood River Valley Christian Church, 975 Indian Creek Road, Hood River. This concert has become a tradition, featuring local musicians playing intimate and exciting music for small ensembles and solo performers. The concert is free with donations accepted.
Jazz Collective Big Band dances are always great date night events, but what could be more romantic than the Romance in Rhythm Valentine’s Day dance? Plan for some special surprises and lots of great swing and other danceable tunes. The dance is on Saturday, February 14 at 7 PM at The Ruins in Hood River. Tickets are available at gorgeorchestra.org.
On March 14 at The Ruins, join us for Singin’ and Swingin’, a very special evening when CGOA’s Jazz Collective Big Band and Stages Musical Theatre ensembles come together to croon the night away to beloved Broadway musicals, both old and new. Swingin’ on the dance floor will be highly encouraged!
Once spring arrives, you have even more music to look forward to:
- In April, the Voci Community Choir and the Gorge Sinfonietta join forces for Roads Not Taken, a moving and inspiring concert, including Frostiana by Randall Thompson, and the WORLD PREMIERE of Requiem in Five Stages by Mark Steighner and Dennis Castanares. April 17-19 at Wy’east Middle School Performing Arts Center.
- In May, CGOA and Columbia Center for the Arts present Into the Woods, the popular musical that weaves together classic Brothers Grimm fairy tales to explore what happens after “happily ever after,” May 8-23 at CCA.
- More information at org.
