Rich Swanger: Live
September 12, 2025 @ 6:00 pm
Returning to the Balch by popular demand, Rich Swanger is a Salem, Oregon-based songwriter with roots in folk, gospel, and country-blues.
Born in the Appalachian hills of Pennsylvania, Rich found harmony in church choirs and learned the sounds of classic country from his father before eventually moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2004. He’s since earned the top prize in the Portland Folk Festival songwriting category, released four full-length albums, and plays regularly around the Pacific Northwest as a solo artist and with his group, The Little Known Band.
