Realistic Drawing 2.0: Beyond the Basics

For students who have taken Kim Ragsdale’s Introduction to Realistic Drawing class, this follow-up session offers the next step in developing your drawing skills. In this two-hour workshop, we’ll build on the fundamentals and explore new techniques for creating more complex and realistic work.

Instruction includes:

• Transferring your initial sketch to high-quality paper
• Working effectively with photo references
• Exploring negative space drawing, both structured (such as branches or loose strands of hair) and spontaneous (such as grass, fur, and flowing hair)

Students will practice these techniques through guided small projects on provided paper, with individual help as needed. All supplies are included.

If you cannot attend a class, a 72 hour notice prior to the start of the class via email or phone is required for a full refund of the class fee. After that there is no refund.
