Procreate for Beginners

Ready to turn your iPad into a portable art studio? In this introductory 2 day workshop, hands-on mini course,

you’ll dive into the world of digital painting using Procreate, the powerful and intuitive app used

by artists everywhere.

In just 4 hours total, you’ll learn how to:

• Navigate Procreate basics. Create and save new files, manage file formats

• Use layers, brushes, and color tools

• Sketch, ink, and paint your own digital image

• Export and share your art, including time-lapse video recordings of your process

No experience is necessary—just bring your iPad, the Procreate app, and an open mind. You’ll

leave with a basic understanding of digital art tools and one or two small projects you’ve created

yourself. Students will work from the same reference photos of an apple and sunflowers.

iPad + Procreate required. Curiosity and a sense of fun highly encouraged.

Materials List:

• iPad: At least a 6th-generation iPad (2018 or newer)

• Apple Pencil: 1st or 2nd Generation, depending on your iPad model

• Software: iPadOS 15.4 or later

• Procreate App: Latest version from the App Store (currently around $12.99 one-time

purchase)

If you cannot attend a class, a 72 hour notice prior to the start of the class via email or phone is required for a full refund of the class fee. After that there is no refund.

Students will receive a confirmation email of the purchase of the class. And 3 days prior to the class they will receive a reminder email. Please keep a look out for these emails.
