Owen Meany’s Christmas Pageant

December 20 @ 2:00 pm

From John Irving’s novel A Prayer for Owen Meany, directed by Kathleen Morrow, with Matt Coughlin as Owen Meany.

Owen, tired of playing an angel, wants the role of Baby Jesus, and the town’s Christmas pageant descends into chaos and scheming. Adults play the children, with plenty of physical comedy and moments of poignancy. A darkly funny, irreverent, grown up alternative to holiday sweetness.

Each performance includes a live Christmas concert by musicians (30 to 45 minutes). Runs in repertory with The Best Christmas Pageant Ever on a shared set.

Tickets: Adult $25, Student/Senior $23. Buy tickets

Run time: about 2 hours with a 20 minute intermission. Rating: recommended for ages 12 and up (some language and sexual innuendo).

The theater and bar open 60 minutes before showtime. Seating opens 30 minutes before.

Presented by Big Britches Productions, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community theater. Questions? info@bigbritches.org
