Oregon Building Performance Standards Information Session

May 27 @ 12:30 pm

Find out more about Oregon’s Building Performance Standards, including program basics, pathways to compliance, and available incentives.

Bring your questions! Experts from Oregon Department of Energy and Energy Trust of Oregon will give a short presentation and answer questions at a free in-person session on May 27, 2026, in the conference room at the Hood River County Library. This will be an opportunity to talk with ODOE and Energy Trust about all things BPS.

Oregon BPS provisions require most buildings over 20,000 square feet to evaluate their energy use, and some buildings may need to implement measures to reduce energy use.  Details about the buildings that fall under the new standards can be found on ODOE’s BPS webpage

Join us to

  • Learn what the Building Performance Standard means for your property
  • Get guidance on reporting, benchmarking, and compliance timelines
  • Discover resources to support this work, including incentives and technical assistance
  • Ask questions directly to staff from Energy Trust and ODOE
  • Connect with peers who are navigating the same requirements

ODOE’s BPS Early Compliance Action and Planning Program is accepting applications through July 10, 2026, and details about this grant program will be shared.

The meeting is open to all and is geared toward local building owners, property managers, and industry leaders. The agenda is designed to help building owners better understand the requirements of BPS and how to start preparing.

Please feel free to share this announcement with other large building owners.
