Minoru Yasui Day

LAST Saturday in MARCH , the 28th – Join the community for a celebration to honor Minoru Yasui in downtown Hood River with events at the History Museum, Columbia Center for the Arts and Riverside Church. Do a Scavenger Hunt at multiple locations: do art, join a Take Action Community Gathering and enjoy a movie and popcorn at the Hood River Latino Network on Oak Street to name a few. There will be Teach-Ins about the Japanese Internment and the lifelong work Mr. Yasui did for civil rights. At 8:00pm there will be a candlelight vigil at the Minoru Yasui park bench on the library lawn at 8pm. Please join in and learn, have fun and honor Mr. Yasui.
