The Shire of Hauksgarðr invites you to join us as we look forward to spring and celebrate the day of green with an Irish spring feast!

The winter has been long in Hauksgarðr. Come enjoy a day of good food and good company as we recover from a dreary winter with this lively event and potluck feast.
☘️CONTEST:
In honor of the legends of St. Patrick, our contest is to create a sublety for everyone to enjoy with dinner! They should be in the form of a snake, so we can drive them out of the land (and into our bellies!). If you have an aversion to snakes, shamrock subleties are fine, as well. 🍀 Eating them will bring us luck!
☘️A&S:
Bring your A&S projects and join us in our Crafting Corner. Learn a new skill, or pass along your knowledge while enjoying some good company. Bring anything you’ve been working on over the long winter to share with others. There will also be gaming! Bring your tabletop games. Weather permitting, we may also do a round of Kubb or petanque outside

☘️POTLUCK:
The shire will provide a main dish and bread, so bring your favorite side dish or dessert to share with everyone.
Please bring your own beverages and feast gear. We have some loaner feast gear if you don’t have your own.
Remember that some people have food allergies, so please provide an ingredient label for your dish. If it’s a period dish, please tell us a bit about it, too: Time period, region, etc., just for fun!
Extra luck to those who bring something Éireannach (Irish) to share. 🍀💚
☘️TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:
12:00 – Site/gate opens
12-4:00 – Crafting and class area open, social time, games and general joviality.
1:00-5:00 – A&S classes, prepare subtleties for contest, gaming
5:30 – Prepare for dinner, announcements, subtlety judging
6:00 – Dinner
7:00 – event ends
8:00 – clean up finished, site closed. Go home…drive safely!
☘️SITE ACCESSIBILITY:
Our site has hard floors and a ramp into the building. There is an elevator to access the 2nd floor. Parking is in public lots or city streets with meters until 6 pm.
