THE NEWPORT NIGHTINGALES – 1920’S 1930’S 1940’S 3-PART HARMONY SWING DANCE BAND

A TRIO OF LOVELY SONGBIRDS BRINGING YOU VINTAGE JAZZ TUNES WHILE YOU EAT, DRINK, AND DANCE!

Heather’s love of jazz music must have come from watching old cartoons growing up. She performed in her first musical, Oliver!, at age 6. In high school, she played baritone saxophone for the marching and jazz bands. At UCLA, Heather sang Minnie the Moocher with Jeff Goldblum and The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. Her style is influenced by Peggy Lee, Jo Stafford, Helen Forrest, and Cab Calloway.FARRELL

Farrell grew up listening to her grandfather play jazz standards in the garage and loved to watch Fred and Ginger movies as a kid. She’s spent half her life on the stage in one respect or another and hopes to continue to perform for years to come.

Carly has been singing for as long as she can remember. Everyone in Carly’s family sings, except for her mom. When her brother saw The Sound of Music for the first time, he joked, “We could be the Von Westlings! But mom, you’d have to carry the luggage.” From singing along to Broadway Kids tapes on long car trips as a kid, to a cappella in college, to being a preschool teacher and a Newport Nightingale now, Carly plans to never stop singing.
