Join us for a fun and informative demo with Jodi as she walks you through the magical process of Gouache Resist. This technique begins with staining the paper using watercolor or gouache, then applying gouache as a mask before covering the entire surface with India ink. Once the ink fully dries, it’s washed away—lifting the gouache and revealing a beautifully textured image reminiscent of a well-loved woodcut print.
Jodi will share why she loves this technique: the element of surprise when the print is revealed, and the fact that these pieces come together in just a couple of days. You’ll leave inspired to try Gouache Resist in your own work!
