Ken Waldman will perform his show, Now Entering Alaska Time, where he combines fiddle tunes with Alaska-set stories and poems.
A long-time touring artist, Ken has played the widest range of venues, from the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage to the Dodge Poetry Festival to the Woodford Folk Festival (Queensland, Australia). “Like a Ken Burns movie. . . . In addition to being a fiddler (with 12 CDs), Ken Waldman is a former college professor with an MFA in Creative Writing from University of Alaska Fairbanks. He has 17 full-length poetry collections, a memoir (about his life as a touring artist), 3 children’s books, a creative writing manual, a short story collection, and a novel.
