Experience Dufur Hometown Christmas, where small-town charm meets timeless holiday magic!
Dufur Hometown Christmas is a cherished tradition that offers a full day of festive activities throughout the community, including an artisan fair, hands-on holiday workshops, festive food and drinks, wine tasting, live music, Dufur’s famous lighted tractor parade after sundown, and more! Come for the day or make it a getaway with a stay at the historic Balch Hotel.
Current schedule for the day (subject to change):
* 9am – 4pm: Craft Bazaar at the Catholic Hall
* 11am – 3pm: Christmas Carnival at Dufur School: Cookie decorating, photos with the Grinch & more
* 11am – 4pm: Photos with Santa, free cookies & hot cocoa at the Dufur Market
* 11am – 4pm: All-Ages Ornament Making at the Ranger Station
* 12 – 9pm: Music & Magic at the Balch Hotel: Special décor installation, festive food & drinks, Christmas caroling, holiday cocktail tasting, more
* 2 – 3:30pm: Live Nativity Scene at the Dufur Living History Museum
* Sundown (~5pm): Lighted Tractor Parade
* 6 – 9pm: Old Fashioned Roast Beef Dinner at the Balch Hotel
Plus, throughout the day: Wine tasting at the Shadowbuck tasting room, FFA Christmas tree sales at the Catholic Hall, free samples at Hearthstone Bakery, & the annual tamale fundraiser at the museum.
