Drawing with Graphite: Negative Drawing
March 18 @ 6:00 pm
“Drawing with Graphite: Negative drawing, making something out of nothing…”
This intermediate class taught by graphite artist Kim Ragsdale offers a number of important advantages.
– Divide drawings into simple, manageable elements
– No erasing involved. Whites remain pristine, the paper’s tooth is preserved.
– Provides greater control over tonal relationships in the drawing.
– Learn to draw around potential problems and return to them later.
We will work on several exercises that practice these techniques. All paper and supplies are provided.
