Celebrating Woody Guthrie’s Columbia River Songs- Author Talk w/Greg Vandy

Join us in taking part in an exclusive author talk with renowned local DJ, producer, music historian, and author of 26 Songs in 30 Days: Woody Guthrie’s Columbia River Songs and the Planned Promised Land in the Pacific Northwest: Greg Vandy!
This will be a two-part special event celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary – celebrating what it means to be an American through shared history, conservation, and creative expression. By examining Guthrie’s Columbia River Songs and their roots in public power, labor, and regional identity, participants will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue about how democratic ideals have been expressed in Oregon’s past and how they can be strengthened today.
June 12th: Exclusive Author Talk with Greg Vandy.
August 29th: Join us for a community jam/ special performance by Bill Murlin, the man who rediscovered the iconic Woody Guthrie songs.
