Step back into a Mid-Century Christmas!
Join us in Cascade Locks for a special holiday display of vintage aluminum Christmas trees – the iconic shiny, tinsel-like trees popular in the 1950s and ’60s. If you remember Lucy from A Charlie Brown Christmas insisting on “a big, shiny aluminum tree,” this is exactly what she meant!
These space-age trees were once the height of modern holiday décor, glowing under rotating color wheels instead of string lights. Come see several restored originals up close and learn a bit about their history!
Location: Old Library Room, 2nd Floor of Cascade Locks City Hall (Please enter through the back of the building.)
