Artists of the Gorge Meetup; Interested in an Art League in Our Region?!

Artists of all mediums and levels of development, this is for you! Is there enough interest in starting an Artists League in the Gorge dedicated to advancing the arts, culture and the role of artists in our Columbia River Gorge community? We think so! But lets find out at a get together at the Hood River County Library Community Room on September 5 at 7:30 pm. Lets talk about how we could start a league to encourage emerging artists and artists new to the community to meet veteran artists in the area and increase artists’ ability to network and collaborate with other artists. Is there interest in having monthly meetings that offer demonstrations by guest artists, art critiques, provide the Columbia Gorge community with access to new artists and art? We could also hold juried and non-juried shows and plein air paint-outs, sponsor art workshops and provide scholarships for local high school students. Sound interesting?
