Discover the luminous world of PanPastels in this demo led by Jodi Wright. Participants will be introduced to working with PanPastels and Sofft tools—materials known for their velvety softness and effortless blending. Jodi will demonstrate how a limited palette can still create rich, expressive drawings full of depth and subtle color.
Using examples from her own artwork including Vigilant, In a Veil, and In a Red Shirt—Jodi will show how she builds her signature soft-light portraits of both people and animals. You’ll learn how she layers hues, blends edges, and uses simple tools to create atmospheric, emotive pieces.
This demo is perfect for anyone curious about PanPastels or looking to add a new sense of softness and color to their drawing practice. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of the materials and plenty of inspiration to start experimenting.
